Freddie\'s starting to get cocky...

Did you notice how he said that he thinks he has a pretty good chance of staying. I know he does, but it's kinda cocky..He is up against different people. Who ik the public hate, but he doesn't. And he said the same thing actually after about two evictions. Actually, I remember once, when he was up against Angel I think, he said something along the lines of ''next week when Angel goes'', assuming that he would stay... I still want him to stay and he's still one of my favourites. I just want to know is anyone else noticing this? :conf2:

ChavTastic 09-07-2009 12:05 AM

I don't think he's really ''playing a game'', not that I see anything wrong with that. Big Brother is a game, it should be played..I just think he's getting abit overconfident...

bananarama 09-07-2009 12:08 AM

That's not being cocky. That's being intelligent......Just a common sense judgment based on the numbers and the past eviction events........

If you must be negative about a housemate at least try and find a proper reason instead of inventing one.....

HalfwitFTW 09-07-2009 12:09 AM

Maybe he's the mole?

Even as a Freddie fan I am starting to think he is a bit TOO confident sometimes as well.

ChavTastic 09-07-2009 12:09 AM

well playing the game, is not being "ones self" is it, and he hasnt. Everyone in the house had noticed how ONLY NOW hes being himself and starting to relax.

He is getting over confident but i think Kris today spoilt him abit, to try and lose him his "victim of the house" title. coz if he gets confident than he'll lose fans :p

i couldnt have put it better myself:thumbs:

Insane_Spirit 09-07-2009 12:10 AM

Yes, he has become a little cocky, but he has earned the right having survived numerous nominations.

It would be false for him to play at being convinced he was the one to be going when he's clearly bright enough to have worked out that the public quite like him! :bouncy:

Why would I ''invent'' a reason? He's my second favourite. /: I'm just saying do you not see how assuming you will be there next week, even if you think you will can be precieved as cocky? And if im ''inventing'' reasons, how come other people think the same? >.>

arsenalforever 09-07-2009 12:11 AM

Yea, I don't want to think that..He's been my favourite up till last week. But Rodders is starting to pip him to the post. But I still like him...just less..

Clockers 09-07-2009 12:16 AM

Can you blame Freddie for showing a bit of arrogance, he has survived 4 evictions and now the enimies are joining him for number 5. How would you feel knowing that the public are backing you, it just a natural reaction. The arrogance will hit another notch once Kris gets evicted.

Nice to see Freddie happy for a change.

He won't go to those levels:joker:

don't worry he be still be the same freddie who you girls like

LipticBoven 09-07-2009 12:17 AM

The whole house basically agrees its out of Marcus and kris, also every1 in a 5 way race were only 1 peron is getting evicted as a good chance of staying.

If it was completely random he would have an 80% chance of staying.

tentpeg 09-07-2009 12:21 AM

I suppose you have to have some self-belief if you are in there and up for eviction every week. I think that's simply what he's done in order to cope with all the rejection from most of the housemates. Being up against some pretty bad neanderthals this week MUST have made him quietly confident that he is quite safe this week.

Chuckyegg 09-07-2009 12:21 AM

he gets built up to godlike status by fans
and then when he does something bad it dissapoints people
all of this completely unknown to him of course

People can have many reasons for agreeing with you.The most common being the chance of a Freddie disliker jumping on the bandwagon of a negative thread.

Instead of using the word "invent" perhaps it would have been more accurate for me to have use the word "imagined"

Freddie was asked a question and all he did was give an intelligent estimate based on the question........That is not cocky that is plain honesty........Some people will want to interpret that otherwise..........

If you are a genuine supporter of Freddie then threads such as this will do him no good at all........

He is not my favourite but I am supporting him more than you are.......

Just because I'm a Freddie fan doesn't mean that he can do no wrong. It's not just Freddie haters that will agree with me. Freddie will stay whether or not I or anyone else makes threads about him. And there are plenty of other threads about other housemates. But, is it just some unspoken rule that you can't say anything negative about Freddie? He has flaws too. He's only human...

I think the majority of people have come to know and love Freddie for his great intuition on how the public are viewing him from the outside in, and I don't feel he thinks it is a crime to be blatantly honest with his predictions which are very confident but well deserved. I love his confidence and it never even occurred to me in the slightest notion that Freddie is being cocky in a bad way.

I personally prefer the bold confidence coming from an honest lovable Freddie, over the fake HM's that put on the act but know more than they let on. It would be disingenuous for Freddie to suddenly change his tune from out of nowhere to pretend that he doesn't know where the public stand in regards to his safety in the house this week. For Freddie and Freddie fans, his safety continues to build like a crescendo with each passing week, and the more he professes his safety to the other HM's the better it gets. lol. If I had it my way I'd be rubbing it in their stinky asswipe' faces constantly... Woot Woot, Go Freddie.

LipticBoven 09-07-2009 02:38 AM

I just watched the show and freddie said (not a direct quote).

"but, errr, just on the sherr fact im up against 4 other people of got some more, more probablities..."

"I think my odds are pritty good personally becuase people have had plenty of opportunities to vote me out already...."

Later in the same conversation he agrees that him and marcus would have also "stirred up some strong opinions" and so could be in danger.

I don't think he sounds cocky at all.

I agree with you

Enid 09-07-2009 02:42 AM

He has survived four evictions (or is it five? I've lost count ) - I think it's safe for him to assume he'd be staying. I mean c'mon, look at the competition. He is confident and clever. Not arrogant.

Despite trying to shout over and belittle him, he rose above it and put her in her place. Then she refused to talk to him because she knew he wasn't gonna take her shít lying down.

rsefitpro2009 09-07-2009 05:32 AM

Well I wouldn't say hes getting cocky, he's just sussing the game out!, if Siavash did that would you be calling him cocky?

freddie has a point on how his chances of staying are good, with a few more housemates up with him.

cocky would be a sree reply of 200% staying or what ever it was
saying you have a good chance when 4 other people are up with you is just common sense i dont understand how else you could answer the question knowing that you have a 20% chance of going every thing else been equal
how would you have answered it?

Daffodil 09-07-2009 07:21 AM

Freddie is 100% honest. He is wonderful.

Yes i have noticed he is cocky!! and becoming a big headed
what after 1 day? Utter nonsense. The guy is just enjoying the fact that he has tamed the wolves and everyone seems to be getting on and pulling together.

xmynxiex 09-07-2009 07:41 AM

Any hm that had survived 5 evictions would feel, very confident, i dont think fred has been overly cocky, its just the confidence growing in him.

scottyd73 09-07-2009 07:47 AM

It must be hard to stay confident in there when the other housemates beat it out of him every day so fair play to him for staying upbeat and if surviving evictions is doing that then hopefully he'll have many more weeks of confidence boosts to come lol

walter 09-07-2009 07:50 AM

its common sense. Survived 4 times!

luminoussun 09-07-2009 07:52 AM

I think he was just stating a fact?
He has stayed in 4 times against one.so he stands a better chance against 4?? it's just simple maths and odds

rusticgal 09-07-2009 09:09 AM

Imagine living in a house with people who dont really like you cos week after week they put you up.Cant be easy.So when he has stayed week in week out up against only one HM on a couple of occassions...its no wonder he is becoming more and more confident.
He feels he has more of a chance this week because of the odds being up with 4 others.... give the guy a break. He is a really decent human being who doesn't sit on the fence and does everything he can to enjoy the whole experience.
