I don't read the BB sections and I only post like twice a day now. I am just working loads and training loads so not really had time for TiBB. Plus it has got really boring, I only really like it during off season times. Newbies and young annoying people have took over atm.

Haven't had a decent thread in ages.

Is everyone fine and Dandy?

This is kinda related, but not, so this isn't aimed at anyone, but a good place to post it :D.

It strikes me as amusing when people come to General Chat, Chat & Games etc to get away from "the noobs". We were all new once. I've seen this happen so many times; generation of users who all know each other really well disassociate from the BB section, perhaps because they don't watch it, or because they don't like the huge numbers of new regular users, but they stick around nonetheless. Then, some of that group just stop coming online, because they don't want to speak about BB, perhaps they've gone to University or gotten a full time job and just don't have the time anymore, or they're perhaps a bit older, and have a family to look after... And so those who remain on this site find that, suddenly, they have to become new users all over again, swallow their pride and get to know the new bunch of members on here, or they leave. And, the sad part in all of this, is that I can barely name more than a dozen people who regularly post on here who've been here longer than I have.

Okay, rant over. Feel the love for the new members! :love:

I don't mind newbies, just in Big Brother thread they whine and bitch.

If they come into here, they generally friendlier.

It wasn't aimed at anyone Ben, you just provided an awesome topic for me to dump that in :D. It can get really nasty though, you get some really malicious people, thankfully there aren't many of them around here these days, but yeah you get some people who actively pick on new members who make the effort to get to know the veteran members? It should not be like that. We, the older members, should be getting to know the new members. The only people that I was friendly with 'in my day' that I still speak to are Princess and Stropz/Linda/Lili whatever she chooses to go by. Linda is old enough to be my mother and Laura's a lunatic (...Take That fan :P), if my entire TiBB world gravitated around 'Class of '05' people on here would think I was a nutcase, I'd probably leave of my own accord. You HAVE to make friends on here, you can't just stick to what you already know!

I miss being a newbie. When nobody knew me, and I just bumbled along not being noticed...

I see it happening, even now. The likes of Lewis, Firewire, Twilight and so on, young teenagers, they're getting ripped into by people who are old enough to know better; but I don't think those guys are realising that the younger regulars are actually going to befriends the current newbies, and invent their own new generation, and those who wind up said kids now are going to find themselves in TiBB limbo, and end up leaving. It's a continuous cycle, which is why I've never really committed myself to proclaiming 'this is my TiBB group of friends, look at us, we're the best' - people come and go all the time, and you just look really really daft clinging onto memories with people that, in one year's time, nobody but you is going to remember.

So, where the blooming heck are all the fun people? Probably signing up as we speak...!

Lmao thanks for that Greg :P Not that I'm disargeeing with you :P I argee! I sometimes feel like I'm distancing myself from the newbies,but never on purpose. I don't post in the BB sections cos I no longer watch it and that's where the newbies mainly tend to be.

But at the same time, you don't identify yourself as part of a group of people at current time, so when BB is over and the noobs are established members in their own right, you're not going to be left behind when TiBB moves on. I mean, looking back to a year ago, I don't think I had ever even spoke to half the people I do now on a regular basis over TiBB, and some of them hadn't even signed up!

Yeah that's true actually! A lot changes in a year.
