Kim Petras - Worlds youngest sex change
 

She is on This Morning today and apparently she is the youngest person to have a sex change. Born Tim Petras I think she changed when she was 16.

Why so young? She hasn't even finished puberty.

I don't know apparently she managed to get it earlier than normal. 18 is the legal age.

i cant see how they would have allowed it so young cos aside from all the op they have to live as their chosen gender for something like 3 years before even being considered so they are saying that from 13 just when people are finding themselves due to puberty she decided she would become a woman and started living like it
ok i have nothing against people that do have sex change but this seems far too young

Its not an adult having this operation, its a 16 year old kid.

If you don't see something wrong with that, then I don't know what to say.

Its better to have it done and be happy, than not have it done and be depressed for all their life.
A few more years could have made a BIG difference. She could have commited suicide or anything...

It is ****ing disgusting that a child is allowed to have this done to himself. He is not physically or mentally mature enough to make such a dramatic decision.

The 'He should do it if he makes him happy' approach is foolish, if all kids got to do what made them happy what state would they be in? There is a reason that kids aren't allowed to do certain things till they come of age and that is because they are KIDS.

Plus gender changes are ****ed up and I feel a bit strange having a semi for a 16 year old boy.

Although I agree that yes, it is too young, if that's how the person wants to live their life, I suppose I'll accept that.
