so she can be heard above Noirin perhaps.

muchadoaboutnothing 22-07-2009 09:53 PM

This is a natural thing in Pakistan and indeed in many Arab countries. All these people talk loudly - it is normal.

rusticgal 22-07-2009 10:03 PM

She actually had a convo tonight....but after one minute I had to turn the TV down....god couldn't listen to that whiney voice for too long.
She really has to go...I would rather listen to Kenny than her!!

stonedape 22-07-2009 10:05 PM

It's like typing in caps, it just shouldn't happen. I think it's more about being loud and monotone than just being loud. Can't do it, Hira offers nothing, time to go.

StevieGeire 22-07-2009 10:05 PM

hira is lovely and what she said was spot on fair play to her.

It is true as a matter of fact. And you are the foolish one for not understanding other cultures.

I have travelled to Pakistan and some Arab countries (and I'm Irish) and I have noticed this many times. It does not mean that these people are bad people but just in their nature to talk loudly (or their voices raised more than westerners - doesn't mean they are arguing). It is not a critism of either nations. Just an observation on my part. You will find that if Hira talks loudly then it is likely that all her family talk loudly.

Tom 22-07-2009 11:01 PM

So she gets noticed when she actually does something

Fangz 22-07-2009 11:02 PM

So people don't forget she's in there, though its effectiveness is limited.

I've travelled quite a bit myself and my own findings are that people are much the same wherever you go, only the skin colours change... My main point is that Pakistan isn't an Arab country.
