Am i homophobic?

I have no problem with gay people and voted for brian to win (bb2)...and my sister is a lesbian.
But i do have a problem with watching a gay romance on big brother.
As much as i accept gay people kiss and hold hands and bum each other...I don't want to watch it on big brother.
I am a straight man and it repulses me to see it.
Big brother has done everything they can this year to make it happen and sometimes i wish they just get on with it get it over and done with so i can eat while i watch big brother again.

Ok now you can all call me homophobic

silversurfer 23-07-2009 10:52 AM

Me thinks you doth protest too much?

tramp-stamp 23-07-2009 10:53 AM

so you can eat while you watch?

minx36 23-07-2009 10:53 AM

Turn your telly over, or switch off!

yvonnexx 23-07-2009 10:53 AM

homop...:laugh3: just kidding, everyone is entitled to their own views on things, likes n dislikes etc

Lee. 23-07-2009 10:53 AM

I don't think you're homophobic although plenty of people will probably disagree. I think you are the same as the majority of straight men!

Gav1983 23-07-2009 10:53 AM

Did you have the same problem when kris and sophie kissed?

Or freddie and angel?

If not, then yes...you are homophobic ;)

superfanno1 23-07-2009 10:54 AM

My proble with the gay characters is that they're so utterly predictable and boring.

I mean, david and charlie- two utterly interchangeable, prancing, mincing queens.

rodrigo - a hysterical queen.

They bring nothing to the house.

Marc 23-07-2009 10:55 AM

It shouldn't matter whether your homophobic or not.. your opinion wont change about it, if it makes you feel awkward (which it does for me) then your not going to feel any different about it. Men can be with each other thats fine, its been a way of life for a long long time but like yeah we don't have to see the kissing. Infact Kris/Dogface kissing was awkward to watch so maybe you just have a problem with public kissing?

calyman 23-07-2009 10:55 AM

Yes you are indeed homophobic, as I am breederphobic. Do you really think I want to see two breeders slobbering over each other all day. It's not that I hate breeders.....some of my best friends are that way inclined. But do we really need to see breeders exchange saliva and more on our TV's?

So not enjoying watching 2 men at is means i am homophobic?? ok fair enough

muchadoaboutnothing 23-07-2009 10:57 AM

Na you are not homophobic. You don't like watching two men kissing etc (and there is no problem with your views). In much the same way there are many gay men (not all) who don't like to see men and women kissing etc.

Luanda 23-07-2009 10:57 AM

Throw a skirt on Rodrigo and I might.

IsleOfWeather 23-07-2009 10:58 AM

no man or woman in the UK wants to see 2 blokes kiss each other, unless they are gay.

You can accept it as what happens but you dont have to like it.

tramp-stamp 23-07-2009 10:58 AM

I find myself agreeing with superfanno1, but it extends to most levels of the housemate selection process

So now it is homophobic to be repulsed by unnatural acts?

I thought the whole idea of tolerance for gays was that they cannot help the way they feel, and neither do they want to change the way they feel?

How does that not apply to someone who is repulsed by homosexuality?

30stone 23-07-2009 11:00 AM

I agree with you i have nothing against them, i just dont want to watch it to be honest..

Twiggy 23-07-2009 11:03 AM

I don't want to see anyone get it on whatever their sexual preference. It isn't what interest me in the programme.

lol he says he is bi but he seems more gay then charlie and david

IsleOfWeather 23-07-2009 11:03 AM

Nowadays (especially forums) you can be called homophobic if you dont happen to agree with a homosexual point of view. It seems to be a defence mechanism.
