It seems to be the last bastion of acceptable prejudice . Can/t slag or look down on folks for their race, religion, sexual preferences, disabilities etc.

would you be ofended if she said: skinny, short, tall, brunette, blond? Well, some like it fat, some don't. It's a matter of taste...

With the possible exception of religion, weight is something people can do something about if they want to. Race and disability isn't.

Considering some of the things that have been said about the women in that house, I think her jibe was pretty mild.
