The IRISH accent annoys me now!!!
Noirin has destroyed it for me. I always thought it was so sexy. and I use to like Noirin, but now, I cant even hear the accent without being annoyed, thanks to her.
:spin2: |
Ssshhhh, the Irish accent is lovely! I know I have one! Hers is a bit too Dub for me tho!

Hey he hey, she's from the southsside of dublin where all the deluded princess' are from....
don't tar us all with the same brush :tongue: |
I know its a nice accent, I always find it very sexy on a girl, but she has now killed it for me.

"Top of the morning to you" :xyxwave:

I now associate that 'lilt' (is that what they call it?) but that dialect or accent now makes me think of selfish people who know they are just a little bit better than anyone else.

but, Scots speak with a sort of 'brogue'. I don't really know what 'brogue' is but something online says its both a thick clunky square shoe, and, a thick chunky way of speaking english associated with Scots. People say "The Irish have a lilt and the Scots have a brogue'. [The Welsh speak with a 'shatner' and shout... each.. word.. like.. a.. chopping block.. ] But don't ask me, Im Canadian so the only people I can clearly understand are the Irish. The rest of you are baffling my ears with your bizarre dialects. |
Edited: Double post, apologies :blush2:
|
the easiest way i know how to describe a lilt is that is melodic, lilting is a way of performing certain types of irish songs/ballads, you sort of sing but speak at the same time and there is a melody in the way you say it while a tin whistle is being played in the background
And for the record her accent is not a typical irish accent! I'm irish too :cheer2: |
I'm also South Dublin  but my accent doesn't sound like hers, She sounds very moany or something

I did initially think she was from the city as opposed to south dublin.....That would give her that annoying timbre to her voice |
