Search for missing five-year-old

A major search is under way for a five-year-old boy missing on Teesside.

Rhys Moorhead was last seen playing in his grandparents' garden at Celandine Close in the Marton area of Middlesbrough at 0930 BST.

Cleveland Police said they had deployed all their available resources for the search.

Rhys is 4ft 3ins with blond hair, blue eyes and of medium build. He was wearing jeans, maroon trainers and a red short-sleeved hooded top.

Police said Rhys's bicycle, which is red or orange, had also gone missing.

'Just disappeared'

They said initial searches of the area had been carried out with no success and they were becoming "increasingly concerned".

Brian Moorhead, Rhys's great-uncle, said the boy's grandparents, Tony and Sharon Moorhead, were "distraught"

Mr Moorhead, 57 and from Middlesbrough, said: "Tony said to me he just disappeared off the face of the earth.

"One minute he was there, the next he was gone. I'm worried and shocked."

I'm glad he's been found, there's not enough happy endings in Missing Children cases.
