I think it's his mum who's in a coma and he hopes it will help her. He hasn't milked it though.

I think it is something to do with his Mum ... has she a disease or something?.. it's something along those lines anyway.

I aint a fan of his, and to be honest I dont see how the money could help his comatose mother..

He mentioned it on lf some time last week. That's about 6 weeks in and the first time we all heard about it. That's not what I call playing the pity card

The money would help as the hospital bills for someone in a coma is huge.

She still has to be cared for and monitored by doctors and specialists. Plus of she does come out of a coma she will probably need substantial medical care

Probably use it to start his own business. He wouldn't do anything noble wit him - he's not rich independent of his parents

It was in the redtop newspapers before and just as the series started. His mum is in a coma, I thought most knew.

As BB don't seem to have shown this on the HLs hopefully they don't want the pity card to influence voters either...

I think contestants should be made to be 100% discreet with their potential winnings. It directly 'influences' the public vote and is unfair .. and will lead to more and more woeful tales coming out. Lets nip it in the bud now. Time for honesty.

If charlies mum iS in a coma then why an earth is he on BB? surely you would want to be there for your mum? what if she woke up? the guys unbelieveable. If my mum was in a coma i would want to spend as much time as i could with her. And not be on a reality tv show. :sad:

Agreed Daffodil, I've always found the sob stories that come out in the singing competitions tedious to the extreme. So hopefully they won't start it here.
