Ummm... if you are trying to insert an image it needs to be:

[img] url of the image here! no spaces at the beginning or end! [/img]

Hey while we're on technical problems ... how do you insert smilies? I tried but it came out as a word description instead. Anyone who can help?

You can just click the smileys on the right hand side next to the reply box and they will insert and should show up ok. Just make sure you don't have bbcode switched off.
