The housemates are allowed to tell Big Brother two things that they would want to be told while they are in the house - like last year, Shell asked to be told her degree results, and they did tell her. So I suppose it depends what the housemates said before they went in. If I was in there, I would want to know.

in BBusa when sept 11 happend one housemate was informed as one of her family members were injured as she walked from the show.

I would think that those housemates who come from London should be told that their relatives are OK. If they did this it would prevent some clever newspaper reporter shouting the news to them or some banner behind a plane which would worry them no end. If Shell could be told her degree results, then they could be told this.

BB either has to say no contact with the outside world or allow information such as this to be given to them. If I was a housemate and found out about this when I came out of the house I would be really peeved that they hadnt said something.

Might make them think about something other than themselves.

I imagine, once they have contacted their families and friends and got all the information they need, they can pass a message to all the housemates, either privately [if anyone is affected] or on mass, to let them know what has happened and that their families are ok.

I also think they should do this as a matter of course.

There is no point telling them yet as they will panic far more than us [outside the house] because they have no way of finding information.

If they are in danger they would have to be told, otherwise imagine a huge bomb exploding near them, they wouldn't have a clue what was going on! x :shocked:

No probs, I think if they had of been told it would have made them all panic and even if their family's were okay it would put them under a lot of stress. It's difficult.

I don't think they should be told either as it will only worry them. They should only be told if anyones family/friends were involved in the attacks.

Its very two sided. They should be told cause they could have friends and everything.

But if they do it could cause a massive panic and people would want to leave.

Yer they ain't being told because they have contcated all their family and none of them have been affected by the attack so they aren't telling them at this time.

There would be mass histeria in the house and they would almost all want to leave...most of them are not emotionally mature enough to handle it.
