I\'m just stunned...

...about the housemates talking about nominations with no fear, freely and not caring about the punishment they'll get.

I mean, that never happened before, they don't really care anymore, they aren't afraid of anything. I mean, look at Bea, Siavash and Freddie at the bus stop talking about how many votes they need to get David nominated in last night's HL show.
That's just an exemple of the multiple rules breaking we've had this year. Big Brother is no longer in power of anything.

Thoughts ?

i totally agree with you "the lunatics have taken over the asylum" big brother cant control them no wonder some of the big brother production team or whoever it was were going to walk out (allegedly) but it still makes for good TV only wish they'd get punished in a way that would shut them up but doubt it'll happen as makers of the show dont care anymore this will be the last BB

tomsatwat 10-08-2009 07:40 AM

im glad they do at least now we will get to decide not them they should scrap nomminations full stop the public watch it we should have a rite to pick any off them not just decide between 2 bea to go the backstbbing sly b @tchhhhhhhhhhhhh

Appearance_Of_A_Junky 10-08-2009 07:45 AM

I have recently thought that the housemates don't care because they kinda of know that we will vote to save the nicer housemates, the ones that are in the right morally so to speak. This is a trend that had happened for the past few years, its not a garunteed bet, but after tghe first few weeks and freddy surviving adds weight to this thought.

As such as long as they hold the moral high ground what can BB do? put them up for eviction (in which case they'll believe they will be the safer of the two), eject them which rarely happens and is most unlikely without a physical incident. What is there BB can do? There is nothing, and they are starting to realise it.

They need to change the format to stop this, but hell, if the past two weeks are anything to go by, I'm not entirely upset, I'd a Freddie supporter but I know (and have known fromt he strart he won't win, and that one of the snider more commercialable HMs will win, same reason that Marcus wont ever win. Im enjoying it already knowing that I willbe dissapointed at the end.

Its like when you know the ending of a film before you see it (sixth sense sort of stuff).

Sorry about any spelling msitakes I am a little bit drunk (I work nights, so its my evening so its ok to be drunk at 9am as its my 9pm.

It takes away my interest. Why should I follow closely and be intrigued by strategies and watch the 'arc' that should develop all according to the set rules and regulation when they may or may not be enforced, reversed, played with.
A popular HM refused to play anymore and so a new vote scheme was created that ends in Hira leaving?
wtf?
Why should I be following closely to see if Marcus or David can play, scheme and work themselves from getting nominated?
So what?
Why?
When just some new 'punishment' vote scheme will be invented, nominations won't count anyways and some other scheme happens.
So why bother following anything and instead just have random people evicted for all I care. What difference is that from what happens now.

Meh.. I doubt BB people really care. Just want to run out their last few weeks before this series is ended and sold to someone else or scrapped entirely.

I agree they should stop the nomanation procedure and put them all up every week but they wont and if they did the housemates or some of them would win again as they dont like nomanating apart from Bea the way I'd stop them from talking about nominations would be by cutting the prize money by the end of the week they'd be no prize money left but that wouldn't work either as we know they're not in it for the money only for the big brother experience and if you believe that you'll believe anything Dude Dude Dude

Remember all the fuss made with NASTY NICK in BB1?
He wrote a name on a piece of paper and got kicked!
EVERY paper across the land made him out to be some type of killer!!!
How times have changed huh?

But BB cant do anything now, the HMs dont care anymore, back in BB5 days, being put up for eviction would be major, but these guys dont care, so i cant think of a harsher punishment than being put up (besides ejection)

Marc 10-08-2009 08:49 AM

The housemates are just plain stupid

At least they had the prize fund twist in BB5 which worked well when Kitten got ejected. I miss these days. BB had the guts and the power on the housemates. Now, being put for eviction don't scare them anylonger. It's entertaining but at the same time rather stupid.
I can't see what harsher punishment they can get: Jail ? They escaped from it. Ejection ? Maybe, but the production team won't take that risk as we have enough housemate until the finale.

Daffodil 10-08-2009 09:07 AM

It has got to the point where BB has lost the plot. Better to stop production right now. Give them the ultimate punishment...'This is Big Brother. Would all housemates please go to the bedroom and pack their cases. Big Brother is waving goodbye'

IsleOfWeather 10-08-2009 09:23 AM

The spell has broken for BB

Captain.Remy 10-08-2009 09:54 AM

I may have found an appropriate punishment. It's actually a punishment taken from French BB.
The housemates who broke the most rules face eviction. However, they don't face eviction against each other, no.
The public must decide if that housemate is evicted or not.
That's simple. Take Marcus as an exemple: If you want to evict Marcus, call ................, if you don't want Marcus to be evicted, call ..............

We'd get interesting results.

Shasown 10-08-2009 02:04 PM

Well seeing as the housemates found it impossible to play the game under the current rules BB has given them a little taster, however, it now means that the rules have changed, Question is to what?

Everyone up, random ejection even a spin of the coin to see if a person goes up for eviction?

Should be amusing to see what BB says and does over the next 2 days and what surprises this weeks eviction holds for us. The fools in the house have brought it upon themselves.

If that was true, why are you and the rest of us here discussing this show? Clearly we all are still interested or we wouldn't be spending our time discussing it.

brian3 10-08-2009 02:08 PM

I think it's great BB are always a bit smug. Like they are always in charge.

Thats because they are, the slant is, they control the editing and the rules.

kistar 10-08-2009 03:57 PM

Im guessing every new rule or event has a predictable outcome or has a range of potential outcomes. I would have thought everything BB does is talked about and discussed beforehand, the main objective being entertainment, obviously it doesnt always go to plan but essentially I think we should have faith in BB and remember change is good.keep the faith people!!!!

kistar 10-08-2009 05:03 PM

Mickey2009 thread about letting housemates talk about noms to save freddie ,is suggesting good stuff is on the way:cheer:

shaz20 10-08-2009 05:19 PM

I still think its unfair to punish all the housemates, just the rulebreakers should be punished:bored:

MrGaryy 10-08-2009 05:21 PM
