What was wrong with Freddie saying he\'s popular?

Why would people start to dislike him after appreciating how popular he is/was? Are people not allowed to enjoy it? Why is it fans like to keep in or vote for people to win who are opinionless and cannot think for themselves... Perhaps the public vote for people they can identify with in their own lives. Charlie, Rodrigo, David, Siavash and Sophie are all individually not very strong characters

Charlie - Hiding behind his homosexuality to skate through

Rodrigo - Again hides behind his sexuality and causes drama yet plays the victim

Sophie - Had sex with a guy she just met which shows she has a poor judge of character because he was a twat and **** stirs unknowingly but out of her being a sheer dimwite.

Siavash - Another poor judge of character who acts on whims, tries to be cool but fails at his attempts to be a matyr. He is quite pathetic i could go on.

David - Hapless moron

I could also include irrational Bea in this discussion but atleast she's forthright as is Lisa (also a **** stirrer)

Marcus and Freddie (to a lesser extent) are about the only two in the house who stand by their own self made characters, continue to be entertaining and i guess the voters are intimidated by that because perhaps in real life they envy these characters confidence.

Spot on!!!

Josy 10-08-2009 10:14 AM

There is nothing wrong with him just saying he is popular, but when it starts to go to his head and he somehow starts thinking he is untouchable when it comes to evictions then it is definately wrong.

Why is it wrong to be prideful of having fans? would you preffer it if he pretended to act hopeless to gain sympathy... like siavash and sophie

SDAS 10-08-2009 10:19 AM

As soon as somebody says the fateful words "the people like me I'm going nowhere" thats when we like to show them how wrong they are and put them in there place, just to see the smile wiped off there face

No, i would not prefer him to act hopeless, and i think its great that Freddie knows he has fans but if he keeps throwing the fact that he is liked into other hms faces then he will start to lose his fans a lot faster than he gained them so that along with his daft infatuation with Bea will be his downfall.

So you're a sadist

The_Long_Run 10-08-2009 10:23 AM

OP's question was
What was wrong with Freddie saying he's popular?

Quite simple answer, he's NOT, could he BE any wronger?

albie 10-08-2009 10:23 AM

He's smug about it and he uses it in arguments. He's awful!

look at the favourite percentages you fool
and btw wronger isn't a word.

wilful_woodpecker 10-08-2009 10:25 AM

Indeed; it's the *way* he said it that could be his downfall

Not that I think Lisa will win over Freddie; but he needs to remember how fickle the voting public is

I don't like arrogance :nono:

and that's how he came over. I still prefer him over Lisa and some others tho

You clearly do not see Fred as we do. You think the backstabbing he dealt Bea last night and the gameplaying attempt to push the blame onto her is fine activity for a human being who wants to become a politician.

OKAAAAAY.:cheer2:

I have gave this some thought and yes, yes I am. Believe it or not but I am a sweet grey haired old granny but when BB is on I turn into something from the exorcist, swearing and screaming at the tv and ranting to anyone who will listen about why a housemate should be shot or evicted

Popular with some of the SADDOs in here like you, yes, that does not make him popular. TiBB membership is a tiny, tiny, tiny subset of the viewing public.

(Note: you might object to being called a saddo, but it is very sad to call someone a fool so get over it!)

i'm not a freddie fan, i'm just stating a fact he is popular. and he's also favourite on online polls and on DS.
and how is it sad to call someone a fool if it's a fact?

btw, i edited my last post - if you didn't see it, it said wronger isn't a word. buy a dictionary

If the Freddie haters are to be believed, Freddie keeps getting "evicted" because the public hates him like they do. Except he hasn't been evicted week in and week out. It must hurt that much to be on the wrong side of reason and public sympathy that they feel compelled to make up stories.

Oh aren't we clever, if you look at the post ABOVE yours you will see my attitude to your moribund attitude to English as a living language whose purpose is to communicate. You couldn't be WRONGER about your claim.

Descriptive linguistics is the current philosophy rather than prescriptive.

Freddie had a brief episode of popularity as a consequence of his 'underdog' role. His present tense is misguided, indeed wrong!

Don't know how you can call Marcus and Freddie confident individuals! Quite the opposite! I think they are both very insecure! Marcus with all his delusions (simply a mask) - Freddie with his lack of communication skills - all based on insecurity!

your first paragraph and the singular line makes no sence. it's like you can't accept you're wrong.

and people like freddie for who he is now. the underdog thing is well behind him, and he's still a favourite? just accept that your precious charlie isn't as popular.

Because you say so? Or because a bitter subgroup of Lisa fans and Freddie haters pop up on forums clanging bells and making reckless noise to drum up a phoney "wave of Freddie hate overtaking the entire country"?

Either way, it's too transparent. No right-thinking person is fooled by all that phoney claptrap. It's the same old delusional Lisa fans and Freddie haters posting cra*p on here.

BBmassive 10-08-2009 11:38 AM

To claim you are popular is both arrogant and in his case false !!
