A majority of people think Freddie has Aspergers, do you.
I admit I have no knowledge at all about Aspergers, but on quite a few forums there have been a number of threads from people who have first hand knowledge of it.
They say he is a classic example of aspergers. If this is the case, why have not BB stepped in and done something to help him before he had this breakdown. I am astounded. |
No.
My brother's severely autistic. Freddie is eccentric, not Aspergers. |
Quite a few people whos family members have it and also themselves say he has classic symptoms.
|
There's nothing wrong with him. Just very weird with no sense of embarrassment.
|
What a load of cr*p that is. Aspergers
|
Someone with family who has aspergers is still not qualified to pronounce a diagnoses!

It's amazing the amount of diagnoses I've read on here for a number of housemates: bipolar, sociopath, psychopath... now Aspergers. A little knowledge is a dangerous thing.
|
The Aspergers spectrum is very wide; and having AS would not in itself be a reason to remove him; nor would it in itself cause a breakdown.
On the other hand, if he truly has a breakdown, then yes, that would be a cause to remove Freddie |
Thank you, Doctor.

Don't Dyspraxia, Aspergers, Dyslexia and ADHD overlap?
I thought they did |

I hope you dont mind me quoting you, but being "severely autistic" and having Aspergers are not the same thing. Aspergers is called "high functioning autisim" because its exactly that. I have AS, so does my Daughter and my Brother. In my opinion (only my opinion) Halfwit shows many traits of having AS. He has little "social awareness" and I have said from day one that I believe he has Aspergers, as have many of my family and people who work with me re- aspergers. Id go out on a limb here and say YES, he has AS. |
No, doesn't meet the criteria at all.
He is the opposite of Aspergers, though he does have some "uniqueness" in his cognitive style, this is usual with high IQ individuals, and he isn't your bog standard model. |
I think he just has trouble expressing his emotions properly, and articulating what he thinks.
I think that Bea has completely over exaggerated the situation, and has used it to her advantage, and as an excuse to get away from him after his decreasing popularity in the house. I feel bad for him, even though I don't like him at all. She's manipulating him, and he sadly beginning to believe her spiel |

It's hard enough diagnosing someone when they're in front of you. I would say it would be nearly impossible to diagnose someone you've seen on the telly for a few hours. No offence... but I think if we put our minds to it we could give him all kinds of syndromes. |

I cant believe you are debating this on here! None of you are qualified and knowing someone who has it doesn't make you qualified!
 |

I agree with you totally. Im not diagnosing him as such, sorry if it came across that way. Like I said its only my opinion, although others who work with AS have said it also. I could well be very wrong, as could they. I do see a lot of my Brothers traits in HW though, and also my own and my childs. Its wrong of me to state YES he has it though, so I apologise for that, but I do feel he shows many traits. |
My 19 yr old daughter is Autistic and I can see some similarities.
