I didn\'t know people could be so cruel...

I cannot believe that a fair few of you are being so cruel and nasty. The boy was having a hard time. Whether or not you agree with his reasons for being that upset. No one should be spoken about like this or laughed at.

For all Bea's faults at least she had the human decency to recognise pain and confusion when she saw it and try to stop it.

Grow up all of you and I hope next time you find yourself in a situation where you can't cope, you learn a valuable lesson.

I neither like nor dislike Freddie as a housemate but he was in real turmoil tonight.

Disgusting behaviour

Well Bea is taking massive flack off some posters because she called him negative and moved beds. It's not her fault that he reacts like that.

She's had to endure being picked on, poked at and annoyed regarding the same dull issue for 3 days on end.

So she was interrogated for 3 days by an over-analysing man, yet nobody cares.

splumb11 12-08-2009 12:51 AM

I completely agree with you that he isn't a saint, that wasn't what i meant to imply, just that laughing at people who are distressed is a human trait that i find despicable

CaudleHalbard 12-08-2009 12:52 AM

It's a game show - as Marcus points out from time to time.

I am not completely convinced by Freddie's "panic attack". Seemingly a little while later he was laughing away about the nominations rule change. Not usually the reaction of someone who has just suffered an attack.

It may be that he did feel stressed out by Bea saying she was moving beds (gosh, how cruel! lol!), but hyped it up a bit.

As regards cruelty, our Japanese friends would regard BB as very tame indeed compared with the cruelty of some of their game shows!

arsenalforever 12-08-2009 12:53 AM

she has saved him and might even have won it for him

so non Freddie fans might be warned by this

That was the bit that did it for me.

She knows he's dyslexic and struggles with his speech when he's stressed or upset, that was just vile when she mocked him like that.

The panic attack was the second time they chatted in the bedroom after the rule change not before. He just got a bit upset before.

As for the authenticity of his panic attack we will never know. However I suffer from them often and they come in a form just like this.

I dont think his dyslexia crossed her mind or she wouldn't of mocked him. I did think to myself why is he talking like that until someone on here put about it

I am most definitely not dennis. Whoever dennis is. I think I'm missing something quite vital to be a dennis.

Why mock him anyway and try to belittle him further? Most people struggle with their speech when they are upset or nervous, there was no need for her to dig at him like that.

boomoo 12-08-2009 01:05 AM

People recognise dyslexia as the inability to read but that is just part of the problem.

Mocking anyone because of their speech is a disgrace. Yes Freddie comes across as taking too long to say what he means but that is part of his problem. Similar to a stammer.

Just because speech comes easily to Bea does not make her superior. She and Lisa were gloating for all the wrong reasons.

Yep, that's what did it for me too, that was undiluted cruelty and nastiness, and just after he'd told her what was happening to him.
I've noticed the past couple of days that she sometimes has a bit of a sneer when she's talking (as she did then and the diary room during noms) which was not there in her first few weeks. Her mask has fallen and biodegraded, she is one nasty, cold and cruel piece of work. Straight to my most-disliked housemate position.

And for the umpteenth time, Freddie was not faking, and it was the most genuinely disturbing scene I have ever seem in BB. Tonight I am past caring who wins, just so long as it is not Bea.

Yes Freddie was having a hard time but lets face it people love to kick others when they are down they follow the pack.

What happened has showed how unprincipled Bea.

If Bea had not spoken as she did then this situation would not have arisen.
Bea is not , it seems, as aware as she likes to thinks she is.

What did it for me was the mocking of a person whom she knew had problems that was the most contemptable act of all.

Bea made a meal of it like she makes a meal out of everything. Nasty, hard-faced, vicious shrew. I'm not even a great Freddie fan, but to say she had to "endure" something that made her act like that shows you can't have been watching properly.

I agree with you it was unbelievable.

Indierock&roll 12-08-2009 11:53 AM

i think this whole experience for freddie has been like way more of a rollercoaster/learning experience that anyone else, hence what he has put up with! all the picking on him then finally being accepted but not really liked and now with bea he let himself get mesmorised by her and now shes shoved it all in his face!! thats why i hope he STAYS he has to, then he can beat lisa and bea and hopefully maybe win! and it will be the best victory in big brother history (rhyme woah)

Well that post just proves how misguided some posters are,it is NOT because she moved beds or called him negative,WAKE up and watch it,she lost it for me when she told him to p-SS off,how very ladylike,NOT,Freddie was upset because who he thought was a genuine friend betrayed him badly, and as he said sold him down the river, she is a liar and a very cruel person:yuk:

I agree with you that she did call him negative, and when you contrast his behaviour before she came in you can see what she has done to him.

He is not worried about her moving be as you say it was what she said. To say p...s off the Freddie and to see him in the state he was is unforgivable. :hello:
