Why do people say this to halfwit -

"I dont want talk to you now",

I have heard Charlie, Sree, Lisa and Bea now say this. There must be a reason and that reason being the only constant being halfwit is that

a) They can because he is non-threatening and its easy for them to say it

or

b) They have had enough and know they are not talking logic so its an easy way for them to stop the conversation and argument..

or

c) Hes condescending, patronising, over analytical and imposing, hence they don't want to continue their argument cause he won't understand where they are coming from

Keep in mind hes elicted the same kind of response from different people, so it can't be that all of them are the same, it must be something in the manner halfwit talks to them,,

minx36 12-08-2009 01:12 PM

Because they are sheep!

BBmassive 12-08-2009 01:13 PM

Because he is boring opinionated prat !

BB22 12-08-2009 01:13 PM

Some of the time it is because Halfwit over-analyses things and keeps pressing issues he should leave well alone. Some of the time it is because they know they do not have a leg to stand on or are lying to him and just want to end the conversation.

I understand what you mean for Charlie, Lisa & Sree; but to say that Bea is not talking logic is fairly illogical of yourself.

Bea does it because she knows it upsets him... Remember her hippy subterfuge when she entered the house? I'm sure she was watching him all the time she was on the outside, knew what he would react badly to and uses it as a weapon against him.

Absolutely_Silly 12-08-2009 01:27 PM

Because they just say hurtful things and then say oh I dont want to talk about it.

Lame!

Shasown 12-08-2009 01:28 PM

I personally find the way he talks to people sometimes could be considered patronising, condescending and without any real regard for the person he is talking to.

Failing to look at someone when talking to them. The way his eyes move when talking or responding to questions, the lack of respect for the person by addressing the other person as "Dude".

He does sometime waffle on, going into extreme depth about things, so people think "Oh god no why me what have I done to deserve another halfwit monologue?" And they genuinely do not wnat to have to sit through it.

And they may even feel, you dont want to talk with me Freddie, you have already decided something and wnat me to see it your way, you want to talk AT me.

mercury 12-08-2009 01:29 PM

Beacuse they have no respect for him.

I think you might be on to something,, it might be that..

because if you don't keep him under conrol he will latch onto you and chew your ear off about utter rubbish until you end up shouting at him to p\ss off.

 a very valid point

J-Rock 12-08-2009 01:35 PM

It's a mix between trying to stop him analysing (which could be annoying after a while), avoiding being outwitted by him, and downright bullying....

they are actually doing him and everyone else a favour by predicting and saving another argument.

Yep, he never lets up once he's on a roll, very much in a similar vein to Bea. It's his own artful way of controlling people or planting seeds of doubt in their minds. I don't think his motivation is entirely benevolent as some would suggest..... his artful posturings are a tactic in his fight for survival.

Real reason B

Intentionally implied reason C

It's because they when it comes down to it,in a straight forward conversation freddie would wipe the floor with them with words alone,so they do not want to be shown up for the idiots they really are,it's simples.

DiamondDogTags 12-08-2009 02:24 PM

I think most of them can't handle an open discussion with Freddie, but they try to make it out as if he would just bang on about the same thing by just going around in circles.
