The leaks are coming fast and furious from this year's X Factor set with details emerging of which group each of the judges will be mentoring, along with more information on who the special guest stars will be.

Today's Sun reports that Louis Walsh will be looking after the groups for the fourth time in his six series as an X Factor judge, while Simon Cowell will have the over-25s category for the first time since he guided Steve Brookstein to victory in the 2004 series. And look how that turned out!

The newspaper also claims that Cheryl will once again get the 16 to 25-year-old girls and Dannii will get the similar boys' category - interestingly, those are the categories that both Dannii and Cheryl won the series with in previous years.

Meanwhile, the show's choreographer Brian Friedman has revealed that Madonna and Robbie Williams will both be appearing on the live shows.

The pop superstars will be joined by Whitney Houston and Rihanna in what is going to be one of the most star-studded line-ups to date.

It's also been claimed that Kate Moss will be helping one of the judges to whittle down their last six acts to the final three.

The model is a big fan of the series and went along to watch several of last year's live shows. She is expected to join one of the judges at their 'home' for the final heat before the show enters the live stages.

didn't expect that.

totally set up for Cheryl vs Dannii then, what with the boys generally being popular, and the girls becoming stronger and more prominent recently.

Intriguing! I think Louis' groups stand no chance if this is true; he's had the groups so many times and isn't very consistent. He seems to lose all but one of his groups early on, and then that other group does alright in the end (G4, JLS), and in the case of series 3 when they had 4 acts each, he lost two early on and kept two towards the end. He's never won with a group, he just takes "the chosen one" quite far. I pity the groups if he is the mentor.

Excited to see how Dannii, Cheryl and Simon do though!

I feel sorry for Louis, he always gets the groups and they never win.

Thats pretty cool, playing to all the judge's strengths (cept Dannii she's talentless and useless)

I think that is the best line-up tbh. Simon, Cheryl and Dannii have categories that they have won previously win, and Louis has a category he has come runner-up with twice, and has had two very successful runner-ups with G4 and JLS.

I think it would have been better if they shuffled it about a bit. Like someone mentioned above it's been tailored for another year of Dannii Vs Cheryl. The producers are hoping that it'll fuel papers reporting feuds between them.

yeah this is apparently the 4th time... louis having the groups??? bit bizzare thought they would have all different!!

well if the groups are good i hope louis wins this year :D

they have only swapped simon and dannii around from last year i was expecting big changes like never mind shud still be good im really excited now :dance2:

I would have much rather seen Cheryl with the groups, I think it would be interesting.

also as far as I know Kate Moss will be helping Louis.
