Siavash \'\'I\'m a recovering Alcoholic\'\'

Seems Siavash has set out his stall for the ''Sob Story Stakes''

Siavash told the housemates that he is a recovering alcoholic.

The group were relaxing with a number of alcoholic drinks last night after Freddie's departure from the house when the conversation turned to who was the biggest drinker in the house.

Siavash admitted that before he entered the house he used to have a drink every day.

"I drank the most on the outside," he admitted. "I drank every night because I worked in a club. I had to sort it out. I had a real problem, but I sorted it."

Lisa pushed the point and asked him directly if he used to have a drinking problem.

Siavash then nodded his head, saying: "And I'm the one person who never fights over alcohol in here."

He has no problem drinking in the house so he can't be that bad. If he was a genuine alcoholic he wouldn't as much as sniff a drink.

I want to like Siavash again but I'm finding it really hard atm

cookiemonster 15-08-2009 01:21 PM

good for him for sorting it out.

Recovering alcoholics can't touch a drop! He doesn't strike me as someone struggling with addiction or compulsion.
He has an extraordinary ability to down one here and there without the appearance any real cravings. Glad he was able to stop the drinking spiralling out of control

IsleOfWeather 15-08-2009 02:08 PM

he is full of crap

Marc 15-08-2009 02:08 PM

Doesn't he drink in the house? :puzzled:

Why does eviction night bother him so much? Everynight its on he has his fingers stuck in his ears...Watch last night when Davina said ''Big Brother House this is Davina'' and the camera scans the 2 sofas, theres no sign of Siavash, then the camera pulls away and there he is on the floor with his hands over his ears .

He only did that yesterday.
He was about to lose one of his best friends, even though one doesn't even like him (MARCUS.)
I thought him worrying about his friends was cute.

Enlighten us all, what problems can you have with alcohol that doesn't involve you being an alcoholic?

NettoSuperstar! 15-08-2009 03:17 PM

You can have a drink problem without being an alcoholic. People who drink too much because of the lifestyle they lead can be affected by it to the point it becomes a problem. That doesnt make them addicted to alcohol or alcohol dependant...

Vicky. 15-08-2009 03:18 PM

Having a problem with alcohol, and being an alcoholic are two very different things.

If you have any problem with alcohol even if its down to lifestyle, then at best you're a mild alcoholic otherwise you could just knock it on the head, and hence you wouldn't have a problem.

scottyd73 15-08-2009 03:20 PM

He is full of poop i'm a recovered alcoholic and i don't even have dessert with alcohol in it or cook with alcohol as i never want to touch the bloody evil stuff again lol the curse of an addictive personality.

Well said. I have friends who are alcoholics, and have been sober for years, and i also have friends who drink heavily but can reign it in and drink every so often without it being problematic again. There's a HUGE difference.

Siavash said he drank too much, not that he was an alcoholic. Sophie behaves like an alcoholic. She cannot stop once she starts until it's all gone.

IsleOfWeather 15-08-2009 03:23 PM

Siavash needs to change his breeks
