Yeah it's **** he interviews people terribly, doesn't listen to their answers and has ripped off Frankie Howard to the point off embarrassment BUT people like him so channel 4 are just giving people what they want.

And he's funnier than simon pegg

Sorry, the OP is right. Sadly Alan appears self-conscious. You get the feeling that the outness of his sexuality provided sufficient kudos to give him the job. Sadly a gay interviewer is no less cringe worthy when you're exposed to questions such as, to Peter Andre, "will you go out with a celebrity again" I hid behind my setee then.

Alan, Russell, Jimmy and Little Britain yes.

Jonathan Ross, Gervais, Simon Pegg and Cohen, no.
