Without A Trace...season 3?

Anybody know when season 3 of Without A Trace is due to start? I'm having severe withdrawal symptoms!

lily. 13-08-2005 10:17 AM

It's just started, and it's just as damn good as the last one. I love it too.

It looks like Jack is coming back to his old job. I'm glad. It wouldn't have been the same without him.

Ruth 13-08-2005 06:52 PM

True, I've always liked Anthony La Paglia. Enrique Murciano is yummy!

lily. 13-08-2005 07:52 PM

Hell yeah he is... PuRRRRRRRR.. I love him too! It's a shame he isn't in anything else on TV.

You been keeping up with the new series Ruth?

I'm wondering how Jacks return will affect Samantha & Martin's new found affair. Do you think Sam will want to start things up with Jack again? I think she might!

Ruth 18-08-2005 06:37 AM

I think Sam still has feelings for Jack, and I bet things get complicated there. What amazes me is that she hasn't even noticed how totally gorgeous Danny is!

And poor Viv - I did feel sorry for her.

lily. 25-11-2005 10:01 AM

It seems I was wrong about Sam rekindling her affair with Jack. Although I do sense a touch of jealousy from Jack when he looks at Sam & Martin together.

I agree with what you said about Danny, but I think the essence of his character requires him to stay single. He has that playboy aura about him, someone who isn't too serious about settling down. Martin aint half bad looking though, so I wouldn't exactly kick him out of bed for farting

Now that their relationship is out in the open, I'm wondering how it will play out. Sam seems very uncomfortable about that. I don't really blame her. She does come off worst in the reputation stakes!

Are we the only 2 people on TiBB who watch this show, Ruth? I'm amazed nobody else does. It's superb!!!

Ruth 26-11-2005 09:12 AM

Everything has to stop in our house for Without A Trace. I think it's the best thing on TV (together with Law and Order).

I still think something will happen in the future between Sam and Jack - I don't know for sure, it's just a hunch, but I reckon she has unresolved feelings for him. I'd love to see her reaction if and when Jack starts seeing someone else.

Yeah, I think you're right about Danny. He's better off single, but if they do need someone to step in as his girlfriend, I'm always available!

I wonder what will happen with Viv? She doesn't have much luck does she - first losing her promotion, and now having this heart problem to deal with!

lily. 27-11-2005 09:20 PM

Viv is certainly on a roll of bad luck. She doesn't seem to confide in anyone though. I get the impression she bottles a lot of stuff up, and makes it a whole lot worse for herself. I would like to see her open up a bit more. I think her colleagues genuinely care about her, especially Jack, and he has already sensed something is up. It would be nice if she could confide in Jack. He is a great guy.

I'm not sure Sam & Jack will ever hook up again, but there's something about Sam & Martin that just doesn't sit right. She somehow doesn't seem to have the same chemistry with him that she had with Jack. I sense that she holds back with Martin, which makes me wonder if you are right with your hunch. She maybe still holds a torch for ole Jack!

If they need someone to step in as Danny's G/F, you best be ready for handbags at dawn girl, because I will fight you for that part!

I haven't seen Law & Order, but everything stops in my house for Without a Trace, Lost, Grey's Anatomy, The Shield (when it's on) & The 4400. I'm not a fan of soaps, but I do like my drama!!!!

Oh, I just had a thought... What about Jack & Viv? possible? how would that change the office dynamics?? *ponders*

Ruth 28-11-2005 08:41 AM

Jack and Viv? Interesting thought...who knows? She'd certainly be a good match for him!

I love The Shield as well, and although I couldn't get into Lost at first, someone lent me the DVD box set, and now I'm hooked. I bet you would enjoy Law and Order - but the early series are the best ones. It's dropped off a bit lately, although it's still one of the best shows on tv.

Yeah, I don't think that Sam and Martin are that believeable as a couple somehow. I just don't see it. But I think you're probably right about her not hooking up with Jack in the future - she's already worried about her reputation, and if she thinks that people see her flitting from one to the other...But if Jack gets a girlfriend in the future, I'd like to see her reaction!

I've never watched The 4400, but I've pondered over the box set a couple of times; it looks like something I'd enjoy. I never watch soaps either, but I love all the American dramas (still mourning the loss of X Files)!

lily. 28-11-2005 01:39 PM

Yeah, the X Files were absolutely amazing when they first came out.

I lost the plot a bit (not literally) in the later series, because I missed so many of them, but I wouldn't mind watching the whole thing over again. The chemistry between Mulder & Scully was superb!

It was the first of it's kind.

lily. 24-12-2005 03:36 PM

Ok, so I am really annoyed. I have been watching W.A.T. on E4, and apparently E4 missed ep. 21 of season 3. They went straight from ep. 20 to ep. 22.

I have since found out that they showed ep. 20 on E4 last week, then (as normal) they showed it on C4 this week. However, straight after this week's C4 ep 20, they screened ep 21, and never showed it on E4. Seems they dont have any intention of showing it on E4.

To add insult to injury, it was all about Danny. Ruth, you will understand why this upsets me so much! So, now I'm trying to get S03E21 from somewhere, and I can't!!!!

I'm due to write an extremely stroppy eMail to C4 for this ....

Ruth 27-12-2005 09:48 AM

:shocked::shocked::shocked:

I didn't realise they'd missed one out until I read this. And they missed out a DANNY episode? WHY, WHY, WHY?!:bawling: He gets under-used as it is.

I only watch it on E4, so didn't realise that they had put the episode on C4. I'm fuming. I'll be sending them an email as well.

By the way, what did you think of the episode John Michaels? I wasn't sure what to make of it.

People on other forums have told me that if I had seen the episode before it, then it would have made a bit more sense. I understood the John Michaels episode but I do get the feeling that I'm missing something because of the one that E4 missed.

I thought it was a bit of a strange way of telling us that Jack is close to the edge. That much has been obvious for a long time. The John Michaels episode has been getting a slating from the critics as "lazy writing". I tend to agree with that a little. The fact that we were already aware of Jack's mental state made it a bit pointless really.

I managed to get a hold of the final episode of the series, and I can tell you this much - DO NOT MISS IT! It's brilliant. I'm saying no more about it, because I hate spoilers!

But, take note: The final episode is ONLY on Channel 4 on the 9th Jan @ 23:05... E4 don't appear to be showing it at all!! The b@st@rds!

Ruth 27-12-2005 05:18 PM

Oooh thanks for letting me know. I'll definitely be tuning in to that!

Ruth 08-01-2006 10:11 AM

Okay, apparently they did show the Danny episode 'Off The Tracks' on E4, immediately after the episode immediately before it - so it was a double bill, but there was no announcement made about it whatsoever. It looks like we will have to keep our eyes peeled for a repeat series, or else wait for the DVDs to come out (but bearing in mind that they have only just released s2 - and I'm not sure if that's region 2 or if it's only out on region 1 at the moment), that could take a while. But apparently Danny is in almost every scene, and people have told me that it's the best Danny episode ever!!! So it should be worth the wait when we finally get to see it.

oh.. according to Digital Spy it was never aired on E4.. only Channel 4... however, it's all irrelevant anyway, since we both managed to MISS THE DAMNED THING!!!!!

I'm trying to get my hands on it... I will let you know if I ever manage!!!

Anyhoo.. here's the thing I have which I would like to share with your good self... since we both appreciate the finer things in life.. :spin:
