Marcus and the Eviction Crowd

Tonight saw Marcus' best reception from the eviction crowd so far this series, by some margin.

I recall the week of Kris' eviction when we all thought he would get a terrible reception, and yet the eviction crowd, if anything, booed Marcus even more than Kris in the lead up to the eviction itself. It has slowly changed, with smatterings of cheering starting to be audible among the many boos over the last couple of weeks. And suddenly this week we hear more cheers than ever, actually louder than what was a really only a smattering of boos.

It seems that the growing popularity of Marcus, reflected in his increasing success in various polls and in the forum favourite rankings which Marcus now tops here at TIBB, is also being reflected in his reception on Friday nights.

Interesting.

Interesting indeed BB22

I was convinced it was only on the forum he was popular but clearly not ... I still don't think he will win but I think he'll do well

The crowd didn't seem to be able to make their minds up on him.

In the first part he got mostly boos, the second part mostly cheers, and the last part about half and half.

It was better but don't get carried away, it wasn't all that good. Also, I think that Bea being the focal point of tonight took away from boos.

Agreed. It's an improvement, but still not that good. Bea-booing also lessened the hate for any other HM who would be up tonight.

Marcus won't win, it'll be out of siavash and rodrigo (for whatever stupid reason)

at a push marcus will come second but i would be well chuffed if he won, my favourites, a lot of the time, come second.

I think he's a good chance now.

scottyd73 22-08-2009 02:11 PM

Very interesting indeed and I hope he gets the same reception when he walks out as the winner.

gillgroom 22-08-2009 02:32 PM

Definitely think his lovely, slightly eccentric Mum has something to do with his increase in popularity. No matter what Marcus says it is obviuos there is a bond between them and she has been supportive. Would love to see him truimph and for his Mum to be there to meet him ! That would certainly be a bit of B.B history !
