Sophies talk of Magazine deals shows her true colours.
After claiming she wanted nothin more to do with Kris over his refusal to deny pregnancy romours,Sophie spent last night regretting her words. She is now concerned he might want nothing to do with her.The real source of her anger was Kris' decision to sign with Neon Management. For this reason she insisted she wouldnt sell any stories with him as she doesnt want them getting a cut.Neon managements major crime was wanting her to go on holiday with an ex-BB housemate and to pretend to be his girlfriend. The speed with which Sophie brought magazine deals into the equation revealed that her motivation is purely to join the Z-list treadmill, those who hawk details of their tawrdry lives to the highest bidder. Not a great crime but one that should not be rewarded by winning the show.

no suprise there then
|
Yes she'll want all the frills that comes with BB, I mean that was her work prior to the show.
I found it pretty disgraceful that she decides to drop Kris just like that, over mag gossip. ROFL, shows how fake and pathetic she is. |

So what? Thats what all young attractive girls go on the show for. It was certainly instantly obvious thats what Sophie was there for.
Its not a crime for a model to want to increase her profile and make more money. Noirin and Karly are doing it. Sophie is just more open about it thats all. She even has an agent already who she has mentioned. Personally, I respect her honesty. True colours? I don't think she's pretended to be anything else. |
Bit shallow-no? Of course thats what shes there for-for that reason she doesnt deserve to win.

She deserves to win if enough people like her. Simple as. They all have selfish motives for being there. |

Theres degrees of shallow-Sophie and the like take it to the max.

I defy anyone who is a member on this board to turn down £10,000 in order to chat to a journalist for 15 minutes and have your picture taken.
The only hypocrites are the people who criticise any BB contestant for making some dosh. The fact is we all know that given the chance we would all do the same. Get real folks. |
Of course-doesnt make it right though.Take Marcus-no one could say hes in there for magazine deals.Untill recently the idea of a Marcus magazine deal would have been preposterous.Tom summed it all up when he left.

If you agree you would do it and then say it's wrong, what is your moral objection? If you put yourself on BB and then morally object to a magazine deal then surely that is a contradiction and you are clinically insane. |

I hoped she wouldn't back-track on that - but knew she would! |
Of course she's just there for the exposure, and to boost her career, she had an agent before she even went in the house for crying out loud!
|
So, there are some members who think the housemates go into the house purely for the experience and would turn down large sums of money in a very short time just so they could nurture the BB experience.
I can only think of one altruistic housemate and that was the boring Scotsman who lived in the Shetlands and didn't even he take the dosh on offer afterwards for some documentary type thing. It doesn't matter if they have agents before or after they enter the house, it doesn't matter if they make money on magazine or newspaper deals - My point is the people who criticise them and hold their hands up in horror at the very thought are hypocrites because they would do exactly the same thing given the opportunity. Remember, it's a game show - the same as Blankety Blank. |
Clinically insanes goin a little bit overboard. My point-when Sophie gets out all she wants to do is strip off for Nuts and Zoo magazine, have a fake relationship, maybe a fake marridge and sell stories about it.Not,as I say, a great crime-but nothing to be particullarly proud of either.

And Tom went through the arduous audition process to get on Big brother which has been going for 10 years. He knew what it was all about. So he's a hypocrite. And his reasons were disingenuous IMO. |

I'm astonished people think otherwise. |
The whole Z-list things gettin a bit lame now-most people dont watch BB or buy the magazines.Lotta ppl watchin BB do so for the ironic humour and to see the wannabes get tortured.

I guarantee if I made a post on here pretending to be Sophie's ex-boyfriend the hits would go though the roof. You see, where there is interest there is money and where there is money there are people waiting to take it. Those people in this instance are BB housemates ............ and who can blame them? |
2 million isnt much-given the lack of competition on terrestrial TV most nights.Tabloids have stopped giving it any coverage-even Daily Star cant be bothered printing much about it.Most people I know haven't watched it for years.Of course reality shows and Celeb mags. have this mutually parasitic relationship with each other-its the only thing keepin it alive.
|
Agreed John but they will still make money and I think anyone criticising them for doing so is a hypocrite.

anyone who goes on BB must to some degree or other be a fame-*****...so we shouldn't look for high-minded motivation... and shouldn't be too priggish when its not found |
Call me naive but I was actally surprise at how quick she was to start goin on bout sellin stories with Kris.People arent usually so barefaced. Was prepared to believe the pair of them may have got together for less mercenary reason.Would've obviously been wrong there.
|
Think she feels stupid for saying she no longer wanted anything to do with Kris, knowing full well she would be doing all the mag deals with him once she's out.
