Good job my TV in my bedroom already has digital TV in it. But the living room TV still has the "digi box" so my rents will have to purchase a new TV before 2011

Beastie 23-08-2009 07:41 PM

Im surprised Wales of all places turned digital first lol

Firewire 23-08-2009 07:41 PM

2010-2011.

We have Digital Boxes anyway.

Benjamin 23-08-2009 07:42 PM

We were switched over in May. :cheer2:

Princess 23-08-2009 07:44 PM

What's Digital??

arista 23-08-2009 07:45 PM

http://www.joinfreesat.co.uk/

FreesatHD
is the best
with ITV HD and BBCHD

One Off to buy it
and works on a Sky Dish.

Freeview in some places will never be picked up
so FreesatHD is the best out there

And more channels than out of date Freeview
http://www.joinfreesat.co.uk/index.php/freesat-channels

If your TV has a HDMI connection
then Freesat HD

If not
then Freesat.

Sign Of The Times.

Laura- Freeview, Sky ect. Analog signal is being switched off for good in a few years.

12th of August.. only ITV has gone here though so far :P

When the Old style TV pick up gets turn off

Then
Freeview
FreesatHD
Freesat
Sky & Sky HD
&
Virgin Media

Will be all that is left.

Princess 23-08-2009 07:49 PM

Ooh thanks Soph!

I havn't had analog since we got a 3rd Sky+ box, they said we could have one dish for 3 sky tellys and no analog or get an extra dish and keep analog so we got rid

It was used as a Test.
To find out how many old had problem changing.
And how many could not get Freeview at all.

And Reports showed a Whole Valley Angry as they could not have Cable or Freeview.

Freesat at that time was still being worked on.

Many had no choice but to have Sky.

Ahh yeah because Wales is remote and will be harder to pick up signal than somewhere central like London.

Devon & West country were done before Wales. Wales were August. We were May down here.

arista 23-08-2009 07:56 PM

One bloke in a remote area in Devon
was very Angry with the BBC
as he could never pick up Freeview.
He phoned Radio 5.

At that time Freesat was not out
