Is Sophie a good role model for teen girls?

Simple question really. As a father of a young girl myself, my answer is a foregone conclusion. What do others think?

LemonJam 24-08-2009 09:29 PM

No, but tbh none of the characters in there are good role models.

nope know one who steals should be considered a good role model for young views :bored:.

fizzii 24-08-2009 09:31 PM

God no. She's not a bad person - quite a sweet girl. But she's promoting the whole "boobs out for the lads", blonde bimbo image and I wouldn't want my daughter to think that that was ok.

DoM-h 24-08-2009 09:32 PM

Yeah let's have all teenagers thinking:

I want to have a boob job and have naked pictures of myself all over the internet.

jimmymckooel 24-08-2009 09:35 PM

Let me think...she's had a boob job, she gets drunk and degrades herself. She wants to appear in lads mags. She's a brilliant role model.

santaa 24-08-2009 09:36 PM

Probably not. There are a a lot worse though

pixee 24-08-2009 09:37 PM

Of course she isn't anyone who performs such over the top breast enhancement has issues which she need resolving elsewhere not by been desperate to slap them on page 3

trucker 24-08-2009 09:37 PM

SOPHIE = " DOG"

Deliverance 24-08-2009 09:38 PM

I was thinking of the trend for teen girls to become plastic glamour models with large silicone implants so they can be 'validated' by men in mags. That is just sad.

I find her to be a sad individual really. Seems like a nice enough girl and all that. But she and others turn themselves into a product which is very shallow and empty in the long run.

That is my opinion anyway.

kisywisy 24-08-2009 09:45 PM

i don't think it's fair to say that any of the hm should be good role models. it's a tv show.

it's up to us as parents to be good role models for our children and educate them on what's really important in life

starbell 24-08-2009 09:54 PM

I take it that you are being sarcastic?

Jordan. 24-08-2009 10:06 PM

Is she trying to be a role model?

GypsyGoth 24-08-2009 10:10 PM

Give us some credit. Not all of us look to BB for role models.

30stone 24-08-2009 10:14 PM

Better than most.

and She doesnt have to try be a role model people bass it just some one who is in the media, like on the tv a lot or in magazines etc...

But yeah, she isnt like nasty, hardly swears, and doesn smoke..

Theres much worse role models.

Nigeria_Bob 24-08-2009 10:22 PM

Marcus is the best role model :spin:

Faded 24-08-2009 10:24 PM

If getting drunk on tv and acting completely thick is a good role model then yeah she's bang on.

jimmymckooel 24-08-2009 10:27 PM

I dont think she has any intent on being a role model though.

Fangz 24-08-2009 10:29 PM

You know what, I'm not overly keen on Sophie myself, but she doesn't have a duty to be a good role-model to young girls, she's just a reality-TV contestant. How about parents actually, y'know, parent their kids so that they have a good enough sense of self-worth not to copy people just because they're on the telly, instead of passing the buck?

Welll maybe sophie should be a role model to kids in 10-20 yrs time about how she was a victim of the media portrayal that she felt that she needed to be?

Yes the responsibility is not hers, it lies in the media. That is something worth thinking about.

staceyxxx 24-08-2009 10:39 PM
