James Camerons first feature length movie since Titanic. What's your initial impression on this one?

Looks pretty great.

It seems to be a mix of Aliens, Abyss and Matrix thrown together which means
This film will Rock! (as the americans would say)

Teaser trailers often have a tendency to mislead the viewer or expose them to certain snippets of the film in an attempt to woo us back in our seats. This one is a perfect example..... all style, no substance. I'm still sitting on the fence on it. I would love to see it work but I had trouble excepting the giant blue smurfs in the trailer when it's clear from the music and the director involved that we're supposed to take the whole thing very seriously.

But yes, I think it's possible that I'll have an easier time suspending disbelief and letting myself go when I'm in the directors hands in the cinema.
