Big Brother to take 5 - 7 YEAR Break

As we all know C4 has decided to axe Big Brother after series 11.

People are now saying Sky1 is trying to buy Big Brother i'd like Sky1 to have Big Brother but not now. For me its dying, and the only way to keep it alive is putting it in a coma for a while. After 5 years, everyone would have Cable (digital switchover etc) and Virgin would probs get Sky1 back on there channels. Sky1 would make the advertising for Big Brother HUGE, new people would start watching it who would be in there late teens old Big Brother fans would start watching the first episode, and as we all know after the first episode if its good enough your HOOKED.

It'd be Sky1's biggest moneymaker and biggest show (like it was in C4's first years) but the only way to achieve this is to give it a long break.

What do you guys think?

I was just reading that BB 11 will be the last as far as Channel 4 is concerned.
Maybe it does need a break, but if another broadcaster does take on the show, that might inject some much needed fresh ideas into the format.

Yeah i think about a 5 year brake id hate it going to sky though it'll never be the same not been on channel 4 IMO

Considering the show is still turning a profit no TV network should abandon it. I wouldn't be surprised if BBUK 12 happens in 2011 on some other network. Reality TV is highly profitable and a name like "Big Brother" should be a gold mine.

I hope that there isn`t a 5-7 year break from BB it`s much to long, my time is presious and i would like it to carry on even if it meant it was on sky.

that's probably best.
although having to wait a whole five years for the next series would be difficult:tongue:
oh well i can just watch the seasons that i missed as well as some of the older ones which i dont remember very well.

but i think two years would work ok
