Why are people happy about the chopping of Big Brother?
This is a simple equation.
If you don't like it anymore, DO NOT WATCH, no? |
because its getting too predictable
i'll finish this series off, but after that who knows |
I'd normally agree with something like this, in regards to films and such. But there's something about BB that sucks you in and makes you want to watch, kinda like driving past a car crash. It's time they cleared the road.

THe fact is that they picked their winner weeks ago and have surrounded him by people who the fans hate. So if Lisa, David and Charlie are the last 3 charlie will win, that is what will happen - not good to watch. Hope this years will be the last because it will be even worse next year, its got worse and worse over the years (shown by the viewing figures). Started off with 8 million viewers and now they would be lucky to get 3 million. |
I think its sad that its been axed but its never going to be as good as it was until 2006. Like all shows it has run its course and ideally this year would be the ideal time to axe it, 10 series and not creeping into the new decade just as people are getting tired of it.

Not with the people on this forum it hasn't, they are still watching obviously.
And my point still stands for whoever replied to here, if you don't like it, don't watch it. |

and, like i said people HAVE turned off(i.e. dont watch it)in their MILLIONS...thats why the show is getting emptied |
And maybe, just maybe, the people who are still watching it yet are not really enjoying it are holding out in the hope that something happens. Plus, it's not like we're spoilt for choice with what's on the box.
|
Because we will see BB on another channel, i dont care where its going, but C4 dont deserve it, will fail and die without it, BB will do much better without C4 because C4 treat the show like ****.

Those millions HAVE TURNED OFF. These people who are complaining HAVEN'T TURNED OFF. What's so hard to wrap your head around? |

It's simple.... Some people would've really liked it in the past and are finding it hard to let go. It's like loving someone and then not loving them but not wanting to let go because you remember loving them and wish things were How They Used To Be. Love me  |

It is now considered really sad if you are watching big brother. Hence i am happy its not there, and i cant watch it. Lets party to celebrate -no more big brother |

Its a load of old shiit now and i dont really like it but i have a weird addiction to it, so i would be more than happy for it to be axed after this series (there will probably be another one though)
|
The amount of favouritism and **** HM's this year has really killed off the show. I've given up on it now, but would watch if it (hopefully) goes to another channel.
|
I will be happy to see another company run with it, it has only dwindled due to channel 4 and there having to deal with finances.
They can't run a show on fresh air. It needs bigger investment in the way of a bigger advertiser, and none are going to take it on if every time they sponsor it there is some silly outcry. Virgin pulled out, O2 pulled out. But, the media may have killed the fatted calf so to speak also, and may have a big input in it going on. The media have always said it is there Bread and Butter storyline for the summer, and there are loads of Newspapers and Mags that are going to feel the pinch. |
Recent series of Big Brother have been.. well awful. It's past it's peak now (3-6 was it's peak in my view although 2 and 7 weren't bad either). It's time for it to end now as the whole focus of the show and contestants has changed over the years.
The show was initially a social experiment all those years ago but over the years it turned into a new way to get celebrity status for a few months. The show deserves to end though hopefully it will end with a bang and a great last series. |
Endemol created a real enigma with reality TV. Unfortunately the genre has been a victim of it's own success.
Ultimately it is cheap and easy 'boil-in-the-bag' TV. Get a bunch of people in an unusual situation and follow them round with cameras and see what happens. If it's not morbidly obiese kids in a camp trying to get thin it's celebrity wife swap or some other crap. It's also a sad sign of consumerism. The biscuit cutter TV production companies have as much imagination as a dead slug. But, they are catering to their audience who have 9,997,406 other satellite and cable channels to choose from that show the same old junk. |

Heaven forbid the media might actually have to go out and LOOK for stories again like in the good old days. Vive la revolution! |
Im not happy. What are we going to do in the summer of 2011? With no bb? :(
|
I think people should vote who to put in.. like from the you tube auditions. Then the public will only have themselves to blame. I know its great seeing the nobodies for the first time on launch night. But maybe using you tube to put who we want in is a good, new, refreshing idea. They don't just have to do it for ALL the housemates. Maybe at least a select few?

Exactly If There Soo Happpy About It Leaving C4 Then Why They Watching It.
|
i watch big brother because theres usually nothing else on and its easy viewing ...that doesnt mean its good, im happy its going to be axed because its one of those shows that id watch even if its **** just because theres nothing else on...then its gets annoying because you dont want to miss an episode..i dont look forward to it anymore, i dont look forward to evictions..theres just nothing exciting going on in the house most of the time......
people think bb is abit sad now, nobody claims to be an avid fan anymore, even the people who watch it think it sucks. |
