ITV will launch a one-hour timeshift of its main ITV1 channel on October 1. ITV1+1 will launch on digital satellite and Virgin Media's digital cable service and run from 10:25 to 07:00 every day. GMTV's programming will not be timeshifted. Six regional variants will be transmitted: London; "South East Macro" encompassing Meridian and Anglia; "West Macro" encompassing Wales, West and West Country; Central; a single region for Yorkshire and Tyne Tees; and a further single region for Granada and Border. ITV1+1 will not be available in Scotland, Northern Ireland or the Channel Islands. Channel 3 franchises are operated in these areas by franchisees not part of ITV plc. DS |

DS[/rquote] http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2009...up-channel-crr Media Guardian better than DS. It may not start on that date as a Dispute could halt it. "The broadcaster has laid the groundwork for a new catch-up channel to launch in October on Freeview, Freesat and Virgin Media. However, ITV will not give the greenlight to ITV1 +1 until after the results of the Competition Commission's review of the contract rights renewal (CRR) system, due later this month." |
