Worst Irish Accent I've Ever Heard...

LOL @ Sophie trying to do Noirin's Irish accent. It sounded like a mixture of Scottish/Geordie/Scouser.

Brilliant.

Patrick 01-09-2009 08:03 PM

Agree lol

Prole 01-09-2009 08:04 PM

I thought my attempt at an Irish accent would have been the world's worst... but I've been outdone by Sophie!

brian3 01-09-2009 08:04 PM

Mind you. She did her personality very well

Tom 01-09-2009 08:06 PM

It went from scouce to american within the hour!!

BIG-BRO-FAN 01-09-2009 08:06 PM

Yeah the personality was rather good.

But I just LOL'd at how awful her Irish accent was.

Funny though.

ricky2k9 01-09-2009 08:07 PM

Funniest thing on tonights highlights imo.

CelticLord 01-09-2009 08:09 PM

I'm Irish i thought it was hilarious with a hint of cringe...Lisa putting on a accent scared me thought i was watching a horror film for a minute lol

aiv 01-09-2009 08:13 PM

I am Irish and any Irish person tuning in with no idea about Big Brother and who Sophie was meant to be acting as would think that she was trying to be anything but Irish.

SurferJay 01-09-2009 08:25 PM

She was spot on with that accent.

MiuMiu 01-09-2009 08:27 PM

I loved it hehe!:elephant:

Faded 01-09-2009 08:27 PM

Lmao, it was horrible.

You think that was Noirin's Dublin accent?

Sounded more Northern Irish if anything, didn't sound anything accent-related Republic of Ireland wise.

bansheewails 01-09-2009 08:29 PM

No Tom Cruise doing an Irish accent is te worst attempt ever, followed by Brad Pitts attempt then Sophies!

TurtleSoup 01-09-2009 08:29 PM

She went Southern Belle for a bit.

The americans have a romantisised view of the Irish accent. Sure tis ok for the movies to be sure to be sure.

Julia Roberts one in Michael Collins was pretty rubbish too.

No it was very accurate. In fact had I not been looking at the tv I would have thought Noirin had re-entered. It was borderline un-canny.

Mickey2009 01-09-2009 08:38 PM

Best Irish accent of them all is the wee kid from today FM who does the prank calls http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uMhMA8GlPUw

*mazedsalv** 01-09-2009 08:39 PM

It was so hilariously bad. Her in the DR was classic especially when she said "My Irish accent is going Big Bruther!" because she knew her accent was bad.

But the personality was spot on.

prkp12 01-09-2009 08:39 PM

good laugh though!

headaball 01-09-2009 08:40 PM

It was better than Tom Cruise's in Far and Away.

Beastie 01-09-2009 08:41 PM
