You sure it's the end for BB next year?

I mean, Davina said next year is going to be the last BB ever on Channel 4. Meaning maybe E4 may take BB over, As BBBM are already there... Maybe so ?

What do you lot think ?

Are C4 and E4 not the same company?

chris1232 05-09-2009 11:29 AM

I'm not sure, But Davina said on Channel 4. So it could move to E4?

dipeshp 05-09-2009 11:42 AM

no channel 4 is e4 so no, maybe another network

Exactly, C4 no longer want to do it, but Endemol can still go to another channel with BB.

Here's hoping Virgin decides to do it!

PEARHALVES 05-09-2009 11:45 AM

it cant be on any other channel
channel 4 and big brother are a team
you want johnathan ross or ant and dec presenting it?

chris1232 05-09-2009 11:46 AM

Just a thought, Not even if they bought it out?
Then it would come back with more viewers being first time on a different channel and all that.

bigbrothermad123 05-09-2009 12:08 PM

Hopefully, E4 will pick it up, or another channel.

Arneldo 05-09-2009 12:13 PM

C4 and E4 are the same people. BB won't be back on E4, but E4 could always pick up BBUSA again - although, doubtful. If BB is back after BB11, it'll need to be picked up by another channel. ITV, Five and BBC have all said they wouldn't so far. Maybe MTV?

Clockers 05-09-2009 12:18 PM

No wonder Sophie won, the people on here seem as thick as her. E4, More4, Film4 and Channel 4 are the same company you dumb *****s.

My money is Channel 5 getting it, they need all the viewers they can get. Come to think about it ITV canonly rely on Emmerdale and Corrie to earn their keep. The only other money spinner is the Simon Cowell talent searching nonsene aswell so some extra revenue from BB would be good for them.

Beastie 05-09-2009 12:21 PM

unfortunately its the end next year but I think big brother will be back after a few years break!

likely candidates such as sky one ,channel 5 ,virgin ... etc have said they won't bid for big brother
endemol say it has a future in 2011
too early to say though

God, you're rude... terribly rude.

Marc 05-09-2009 01:18 PM

I'm guessing a lot of channels will try and get it... maybe even FiVE

Beastie 05-09-2009 01:19 PM

I hope channel five buys into it. There will end up being less viewers though but to save money they could go back to basics! I bet someone like Caroline Flack will present it

*mazedsalv** 05-09-2009 01:25 PM

I hate Channel 5 but I would prefer them to get it because its part of one of the 5 channels.

IMO, I predict that in 2014 C4 will bring BB back if NO other channels wants it after 2011 (that gives a 3 year break for the new producers, old ones need to be sacked) and then i can finally audition, I will be 20-21 in 2014.

bansheewails 05-09-2009 01:27 PM

I HAVE SAID THIS BEFORE, lthough channel4 owns e4, they have seperate budgets and controlers, therefore it is possible that e4 could take over BB. Now dont make me shout again!

that would be ace and there would be no loss of viewers because everyone has to go digital which means the least you can have is freeview isn't it?

ricky2k9 05-09-2009 01:38 PM

I've noticed Davina specifically say last on "CHANNEL4", suggesting that the show has a possibility of being broadcasted on a different channel.

However, usually when shows change channels the show is not what it used to be so I hope that if it is picked up then nothing much is changed.

there are a few google links to endemol statements about the future , they don't mention another channel taking the show but do hint at taking big brother online
it's too early to say though
no channel will be admitting they want the show and get involved in an auction like channel 4 did with itv.channel 4 ended up paying too much ,180 million for 3 years.
maybe no one will take the show who knows
it's all up in the air at the moment
