I Reall Am Thinking Channel 5?

I mean, What else do they show.. A few movies on a Sunday.. A few decent documentary's a week?

Big brother would be a killing for Channel 5?

What do you lot think?

Just found out, all the non Londoner big bro house mates are in the hotel partying, But the Londoners are out trying to get there 5 minutes of fame!

Also during BBLB Sree was being a pr*ck and Safia and Rodrigo had a go at him for being a tosser to Beiniaziar because she is ILL!

chris1232 06-09-2009 04:13 PM

No one else?

Luanda 06-09-2009 04:17 PM

Nobody will touch it with a bargepole in it present format. Unfortunately, the broad format has to stay the same due to licensing. BB has had its day and another reality idea will overtake it.

MiuMiu 06-09-2009 04:17 PM

I hope not, only because I don't hve channel 5!
:bawling:

Somebody should tell them that sree was only being mean because he has lost all control. The prescibtion drugs are in charge now.
And what are they doing to seek out their fame?
Lapdancing, selling roses with the Romanians?

Harry! 06-09-2009 04:19 PM

Look at Robot Wars in the early 00's when it moved from BBC2 to Channel 5. It flopped. Same for BB.

chris1232 06-09-2009 04:20 PM

I think they are just going to all the clubs, Trying to get into papers i guess.

I think BB has a lot of life left especially after BB10!!

Why do you not have channel 5 :S:S!

MiuMiu 06-09-2009 04:22 PM

Because I'm in Ireland and it's not offered in the sky pakage over here.
:bawling:.
They have it up north tho.
Seemed a pretty **** channel to me when I lived there tho.

chris1232 06-09-2009 04:26 PM

ye It is but, BB will boost the views. But if it is not broadcasted everwhere in uk then maybe its pointless?

chris1232 06-09-2009 04:29 PM

Imagine if ITV bought it!!!!

They would own, I'm a celeb.. X-factor, BB oh my god

Kate! 06-09-2009 04:30 PM

so are charlie and rodrigo together in the hotel? anyone know any news on these two?

MiuMiu 06-09-2009 04:32 PM

ITV would be perfect.
They'd market it exceptionally well!

Scarlett. 06-09-2009 04:33 PM

Channel 5 dont have the budget, and BB would kill ITV

Yep, They are in the Hotel. I think everyone is in there own rooms. Beini went home, Siavash is sleeping, karly and kenny are out and about same as Marcus and other Londoners i think!

[rquote=2549232&tid=146976&author=Mr.Corrie]Channel 5 dont have the budget, and BB would kill ITV[/rquote]

And you know... How?

Luanda 06-09-2009 04:36 PM

ITV are losing millions and have cut production costs massively so a production like BB is out of the question. Possibly a minor satellite channel but the budget would be lower than Ch 4 and the viewing figures would be even less. As a result the clamour to be a housemate would decline aswell. All round a bad idea. BB has had its day and will be forgotten about as soon as the next reality show comes along.

How about Jeremy Kyle guests being thrown together on a council estate in Dewsbury and then filmed. The viewing figures would go through the roof.

do you know how much BB costs to run? C5 seriously do not have the cash, and I'm pretty sure its been said in a news story

"Channel 4 will free up around £50m of its programming budget in 2011 by bringing Big Brother to an end next year.

The broadcaster confirmed this morning that the Endemol show would not return after its existing £180m contract comes to an end next summer."

Channel 4 doesn't make BB, it is outsourced and then contracted back. This goes for most productions on the terrestrial channels. Channel 5 and ITV don't have the budget.
