Big Brother 2010 :: Launch Pt. 1

The theme begins. A cheering crowd is screaming loudly in the background. Once it ends it shows Davina McCall standing on the outdoor stage, she’s wearing a simple black dress. Smiling, she speaks.

Davina: Hello again, everyone! It’s been about 5 months, hasn’t it? That’s about… 155 days? I don’t know, math isn’t my strongest subject. Anyways, it’s been quite a while since Big Brother 2009, So let’s refresh your memory, shall we?

She gestures to the screen behind her, which flashes on. On screen, several clips of Big Brother 10’s housemates performing tasks and arguing, as well as several comical scenes are played. The clips end with a showing of Sophie walking out of the house, fireworks going off.

Davina: That was Big Brother 2009, though. We’re in a new decade! Anyone care to get started?

She turns to the crowd, who begin to cheer.

Davina: Alright then! Let’s meet our first housemate!

The first VT of the season begins to play. On screen is a slim man.

Aaron: Hello Big Brother! Are you ready for me?!

Clips of him taking his promo pictures are shown, as well as his basics.

Aaron: People find me a bit annoying at times. But I have no idea why.

He shrugs.

Aaron: My biggest fear has to be heights. I don’t know, it’s just a weird fear I have. But I really want to go skydiving. How messed up am I?

Clips of him walking around town with a dog are shown.

Aaron: I’m kind of a space cadet.

A clip of him spacing out is shown.

Aaron: Big Brother 11, here I come!

He smiles one final time as the VT ends.

Davina: Your first housemate of the new decade! It’s Aaron!

An SUV pulled up into the audience area, and Aaron stepped out from the cargo space. The crowd’s reaction is somewhat mixed and as he makes his way into the house, he stops to hug Davina before rushing up the steps and into the house. Once inside he runs down the stairs and knocks on the door until it unlocks. He pushes it open and runs around the main living area.

Aaron: Oh my god! This is so surreal! I love the way this place looks.

Back outside, Davina is smiling as she watches him look around. She turns back to the camera and calls for an ad break.
