housemate haters
 

im not starting this to start fights or get this shut down but i want to know how some posters can be so hatefull and obsessive against someone there dont even know

Firstly, because they want FMs like you to make threads like this one! :)

And because they are as sad as the rest of us for still talking about BB almost a week after the show has ended, but even sadder because they have to project their inner demons onto others (whether ex HMs, FMs), otherwise they would explode :devil:

Because they are are sad little people that kinda need a life

I'm tired of hearing forum members condemning others for having opinions that differ from their own and branding them as hateful, pathetic individuals. The funniest thing is that most are happy to slag off other housemates but once it's their fav they get the hump.

Yes, calling someone a ***** is pretty hateful, however, Im sure you can see the difference between someone saying that once or twice, and someone else making nearly every single post bile about certain housemates? I have yet to see some FMs make a positive post about anything...

Thats when it becomes obsessive hatred, and gets very very pathetic.

I think there is a reductionist view in what you are saying.

Firstly, you do know the person. You are trying put a grading on how well you know something... who is worthy of judging somebody? Their partner? Mother? Father? Friend? Neighbour...

Some would say nobody...

The fact is, this show thrives on likes and dislikes. People create the good guys on the show and the bad guys - and you follow on your own relationship to the story from that. Just like fairytales, you hate the wicked witch and you root for the damsel in distress and wait for knight in shining armour to come.

For instance... what did Freddie do in the Big Brother house apart from moaning and groaning about not being disliked to everybody? Just for clarity, I'll rephrase that... what did Freddie do in the house apart from being (not my opinion this) ganged up on by Lisa and her clique who got everybody in the house from Marcus to Siavash to Rodrigo to vote for him?

My point is, without Lisa, Marcus wouldn't have been popular, neither would have Freddie. They both argued with her and because Lisa was the archetypal "wicked witch" of this story, you rooted for anybody who wasn't part of Lisa - even though for 10 whole weeks she was very very quiet and basically sat around smoking...

If this is your view of 13 weeks.

Anyway...

Big Brother only ended last week... Expect the hatred or love in or in Marcus fans' case the feeling of "what the **** was I doing admiring such an ugly loser like that?" to settle in until the end of September - by which point Strictly and X Factor will be in full swing.

Just give it a chance - the excitement to fall over. The BBBM reunion is on tonight. That should ruffle some feathers...

After 13 weeks of viewing, i think it's fair to say we actually do know the housemates to an extent, and if charlies yearning to be noticed or sophies fake act of being a silly little lassie begins to grate that much that the feelings turn to hatred then to me thats completely acceptable.

Do people moan when people say they love certain housemates ?

Its not libelous, given it wasn't made as a statement of fact about the person with some "evidence" to back it up and it is made on a forum where such offhand comments would be taken to be opinions as opposed to facts.

It could however be taken as a hateful comment depending upon the context in which it was stated

What a load of cr*p! You really expect people to believe that! If you bothered to read posts properly you would see that although I criticize certain hms (as I am fully entitiled, not everyone has the same views as you) I don't call them abusive names like '*****' based on nothing! I have referred to certain behaviours as being creepy - that is not the same thing!

I make lots of posts about various hms - but quite a lot are in response to other posts about Marcus because I feel strongly that he has behaved badly - and understandably get annoyed by some people going on about how great they think he is! That is not hate - if you cannot see that - you have the problem, not me!

Those reduced to cursing and calling those that disagree as haters - do so because they have no reasonable argument - not because they are right! One big cop-out!! You haven't proved anything - except perhaps - you are the one filled with hatred!

I made that because i wanted to see what dixiebell1991 would have to say about it? yet she said nothing, but you did = same affect and i proved my point with you. you do make hateful posts about HM's posting negitve posts all the time is hateful you hate marcus show me 1 post where you have said 1 positive thing about him or even a neutral post for that matter? you cant because you have never made one its all "marcus is a perv, marcus is a stalker, marcus is ugly, marcus should cut his hair, marcus as bad breath" ect... the fact that you keep on and on is a sign of hate:rolleyes: 99% of my posts on here are infact fighting marcus's corner he is not here to fight so im just saying that what most people say about him is full of hate when infact he should not be hated he was on a game show thats over why is there a need for people who disslike him still carry on and pis* his fans off? whats they'er problem?

Yes I have noticed there are a lot of hypocritical comments posted on the forums, incidentally the "ll" version of the word libelous is the US way of spelling it. Isn't it scandalous the way the English language is being corrupted with "americanisms" and "text speak"?
