Lisa since her eviction

Nothing really worth talking about now so I'm going back to this.

Why oh why did Lisa get ar*elicked on every BBLB and BBBM she was on? Can anyone explain this? Even the audiences seemed to like her.

Bea, rightfully, got pulled up on some of her behaviour towards Freddie numerous times on these shows so why not Lisa? Bea has said, whether you believe her or not, that she was wrong in certain instances and even apologised for it. Lisa on the other hand is proud of her behaviour in the house, she thinks the alienation of Freddie during those first weeks had nothing to do with her.

John McCririck was the only one to have a real go at her and he was told to be quiet by Davina. The same Davina who had a go at Siavash on more than one occasion for not nominating. Compare the two, Lisa's treatment of Freddie and Siavash not nominating. Does Davina honestly believe the latter deserved more questioning? Because that is what it seemed like to me.

Shasown 16-09-2009 12:36 AM

Would even attempting to explain how her behaviour was viewed by the audiences have had any effect on Lisa, do you think? Chances are davina was a little scared of Lisa, expecting her to blow up and possibly even chin her.

Doubt it, it was still worth a try. Instead she got told how great she is which were more than likely lies told by Davina because she didn't want her nose looking any worse than it already is.

ManicWolf 16-09-2009 01:35 AM

Davina pisses me off for things like this. She clearly has biases for or against certain housemates and doesn't try to hide it when she talks about them or interviews them. Presenters would not have biases and the interviews should be done nonsubjectively. If Davina isn't capable of that then they should get a presenter who is (not that it matters now with BB ending).

dixiebell1991 16-09-2009 02:17 AM

thank god John McCririck was there. He seemed like the only one not towing the biased bb line.
Hey that Siavash is a top bloke, does stuff for charity without telling anyone about it too (joke.)

Angus 16-09-2009 08:02 AM

There's been gossip that Lisa knew one of the production team very well:wink:- it was blatantly obvious she was being protected - especially the week they made it a vote to save or her scrawny arse would have been out the door.

Glad she's disappeared back into the obscurity she so richly deserves.

eye sea 16-09-2009 08:07 AM

Has Lisa gone back to her old 'dole' ways? Slobbing around, drinking tea, seeing her mates and going to the pub...

Can't see any other future for her...

karezza 16-09-2009 12:26 PM

Big Brother should be impartial. Lisa is just as maligant and nasty as Bea. Lisa & Bea are vile bullies. Lisa should have been treated the same as Bea.

Because the audience is made up of benefit skanks, just like Lisa

Whilst that is an over the top statement I kinda agree with you.

Who here has the chance to take a day off work (or would want to) to go and sit in the BBLB or BBBM studios for a day....especially as some of them you do start to recognise.

I work nights and live in London so I reckon I could go to a few shows if I wished, but it would still be an effort to do such. Some of them have way too much time on their hands to surely be in full time employment. (not all, but some!)

RCW1945 16-09-2009 02:41 PM

Is this yet another excuse to attack the delightful Lisa.
She whose middle name is sophistication. The state should surely pay her double benefits for the rest of her life as a reward for being an iconic role-model for all our young folk.
Are the tattooists of Birmingham going to stand aside and watch this outrageous villification of their queen.
Arise, arise and defend this wondrous creature.

spot_on 16-09-2009 03:59 PM

Siavash has gotten piled on unfairly in all the BB shows since he stepped out the house. BB is just pissed at him for making a mockery of their show, so it was a little retribution on their part.

What really gets me is the good treatment David has been getting when it was obvious that all he did on that show was grandstand and play it up for the cameras. Something BB has traditionally frowned upon.

There was a lot of bias over the course of the series imo.

At the start it almost seemed as though BB was a part of Lisa's gang. They would put Freddie down on all of the shows and it was only after it became obvious that he was popular that they changed their tune, although even then they made Freddie a 'figure of fun'.

Nearer the end they were extremely biased against Siavash, questioning his motives and claiming that he was playing games. Whether he was or not I don't think that it was BBs job to push this view on to people.

Davina made it clear that she liked Lisa and all BB interviews with her were conducted in a supportive way.

I've not seen such blatant bias in BB (or at least as obvious) since BB4 when they made Cameron out to be a saint when he was in fact talking about punching Jon in the back of the head and pissing in his shower gel on live feed.

J-Rock 17-09-2009 08:07 PM

I think there are a few main theories for this:

1) The 'B' word was mentioned in Freddie's post-eviction BBBM, and Davina said/implied Lisa picked on him a bit. But then it was never brought up again. Since then, it has been a total whitewash (including the omission of the fact that Lisa had two official warnings from BB). The producers didn't want to end the series with controversy around the 'B' word, so closed ranks (totally). All the focus was on her-and-David-and-tea-and-fags-and-bus-stops.

2) The second theory is that Lisa is volatile and may have kicked off (seriously) on live TV if she was grilled liked Bea was. She started to do it with McCririck (shouting at him). Also, that she does not really have the intellect/nouse to respond to incisive interview questions.

3) Vash said he didn't like Davina early on in the series. Explains why she may not have liked him too much.

The answer is simple and straight forward and involves no conspiracies against housemates whatsoever.

The reason there is a fanatical support for Freddie, Marcus and Siavash is because they were the most attention seeking, the most self involved and the most egotistical - i.e. they loved the cameras the most and wanted to be heard and seen.

The rest of the house were basically just well, sitting around chatting to each other and doing very little.

Now, back to paragraph two and the point relating to the thread. Since they were the most attention seeking and egotistical it was easy for the producers to create a storyline around them. They can create the show around them because they were the most desperate to have the air time. With Marcus it was the rebelling and the masturbating and the swearing and cursing. With Siavash it was the clothes, the lies and cheating, the game playing, the scheming - this list is far too endless. With Freddie it was his own arrogance in terms of intellect. His belief that because he observed things he needed the cameras on him all the time.

All three of these housemates have tried desperately to be in the public eye since leaving. Unlike other housemates, the vast majority that have returned back to normal life, these three are still trying in vain to publicise themselves over the net.

Anyway, since the producers made them the focus of the show since they were arrogant and egotistical - then people had either a fascination for them or hated them for their tedious, mundane, camera hogging exploits. It was a two way thing but their huge camera time due to their attention seeking brought them to the producers eyes.

Now the producers underlings obviously would have more questions for them, more to ask them as they were related to most of the controversy in the house.

The rest of the housemates? Well, they were only on air when they did something funny. Lisa hadn't done anything since week 2 when she had an argument with Marcus and then said, she didn't want anything to do with fighting and is keeping a low profile. There is an amplification of something she did almost 3 months before the end of the show. An amplification that is unlike anything in Big Brother history when in fact she barely had any airtime since that point and considering there is no live feed, nobody knows what she did apart from Freddie going around telling people she is doing this that and the other and since he had a lot of airtime, his supporters believed him.

So in summary, the reason why Lisa had a straight forward interview was simply down to the simple fact that there was little to talk to her about because the production didn't storyboard any of her exploits because there were none since week 1 or 2 of the show. In the producers eyes... (now remember, the producers have a life, they have kids, they have family, they have hobbies, interests, down time to chill out - they do not masturbate over Big Brother every day) the controversial housemates were Marcus, Freddie and Siavash... and why are they not?

Have we forgotten all the things that these guys did? Or are we just going to blindly say, oh they never did any of that?

In light of this and the arrogance and egotistical nature they had, some apologised for them, while others grew tired of three individuals with almost dull personalities hogging the screen - well the producers needed airtime and these are the three who, let it be known, when the producers pushed their buttons, they reacted and rebelled or masturbated or bitched and the producers got their footage.

The rest just got by with things naturally.

So this is why - the producers did not have a storyboard from which to ask Lisa questions. Only extreme fans saw this.

Wow what a fantastic post Massive Truck. I only have two question that I hope you can help me with.

Are you related to Hans Christian Andersen because in the terms of pure fantasy, that really does rank with the likes of the Little Match Girl.

The second is do you really believe what you wrote? PMSL

I have just checked one of video on earlier weeks.

I timed that Lisa was talking (shouting) constantly to Freddie, 95% of 4 minutes of the video and Angel and Freddie said few words so quietly.

Davina said Lisa mellowed since. But Lisa only changed her attitude, after she was hinted (warnewd?) by Big Brother at DR.

Haha - massivetruck still on the 'graveyard shift' over the three Ms. :)

By the way, Lisa and Freddie are now friends on facebook. Let it go massivetruck. Look inside yourself and try to tolerate the fact that many people really like the three Ms and/or really found them to be the three big characters of BB10 - even now, people are still postin sh*t about em on youtube/twitter/FB. Come to terms with it. Meditate on it. In fact, watch one of Freddie's sand videos - it may help you out! :)

All in good jest, btw - BB10 is long over now! x

I'd say Lisa is friends with them all. She doesn't hold a grudge. This is about their time in the house and why the producers chose these housemates - simply being because they were the most desperate to be on the camera by being egotistical, arrogant and the easiest to wound up by Big Brother.

I tried to watch one of Freddie's videos but erm... it was unbelievably dull. Nice guy but dull.
