When are the Govt going to realise there needs to be a different system for sex offenders? they shouldnt be released unless they have undergone treatment and also have been considered by a team of psychologists to be cured (if thats possible). Like that guy who kidnapped Jaycee Lee, he should never have been let out

Yeh theres drugs they can take to supress sexual urges, chemical castration....apparently MJ asked for these drugs...I dont know how true that is. Did you see the Louis Theroux thing - A place for paedophiles...In the US they have a paedophile rehabilitation centre (in California somewhere I think) and they will only let them out after theyve passed lie detector tests etc...not many get out but some who take the drugs and have had therapy etc do. Think they should do something like that here, it might be harsh but theyre a danger to children and a prison sentence wont stop them. Im against the death penalty etc and think that that is pretty humane considering what theyve done.

Yep, I watched it. His documentaries are just incredible, aren't they? Unfortunately this is an issue that will never go away and haunts modern day society.... the inmates themselves had a haunted, unnatural quality, don't you think?

I don't think they should be killed. Society is regressing enough without having to go back to barbaric ways. Why not study them? Use them to prevent it happening to others kids. Look for the early warning signs so it could be stopped. Im not bothered about what happens to them in prison or anything and it is a shame they will probably be protected. Just don't all charge in with KILL KILL KILL. Think logically and how we can help other kids.

its truly disgusting i feel for all the parents cos as yet not all know if their child was included in the abuse and from what i gather its going to take a while to work it out all those poor children
as a ex nursery nurse its stuff that gives us a bad name not all of us are like these sick people they abused a position of power for their own personal sick wants
i agree there needs to be a tougher program in the uk for example i worked with someone (not in a childcare position) who had over 10,000 images found on his computer and all he got was 3 months inside and 5 yrs on the sex offenders register which is nothing i dont think

But what always confuses me with stories like this is the immediate public cry for their violent and brutal death/torture. What the ****? Does our idea of morality just go out the window when it comes to 'an eye for an eye'?

Dip there hands in Acid
Hammer Nails in there feet
Make them walk on glass
chop each finger off one by one

Would you do all that yourself?

Just let them suffer in jail, what happens in jail stays in jail. I doubt they'll be out anytime soon. Killing them or torturing them wouldn't be a good idea.

thing is though paedophiles are the lowest of the low in prison so they will get plenty of inmates attacking them and so on in there

You may have that wrong
as they are taken to a area away from normal inmates
thus avoiding a Blood Bath.
