What happened to The Saturdays?

In 2008 they were this fresh faced fun, likeable girl group who made some really good pop songs, although not having the best voices ever could hold a note in tune live!

Fast forward to 2009, five girls who are absolutely rubbish live (sorry but every single performance since they finished promoting Issues has been dire IMO), becoming more and more unlikeable by the day (Rochelle shut your gob love), and trying to invent themselves as a rockier group with their new single (which is hideous).

Even the poppier tracks on their album sampler are crap.

This isn't even just an excuse to slate them, they used to be great!

Fame has ruined them. They're all so fake now. Shame really.

MrGaryy 02-10-2009 12:25 AM

rofl at their Paul O'Grady performance its ridiculously bad.

Fom 02-10-2009 01:38 AM

I like their new song...

Stu 02-10-2009 09:56 AM

I think to be honest there is no space in the market for them. They advertised themselves as a back to basic, fun, chirpy pop group as if the art of making pop music had suddenly died at the turn of the century. It didn't. The pop market is over saturated with quiet frankly ... better artists.

They've got a perfect opportunity atm to promote themselves because Girls Aloud are on a break and they're blowing it big time

CaraRawr 02-10-2009 12:18 PM

ikr.

i loved the sats when they first got big but now they're different and i dnw. :/

arsenalforever 02-10-2009 01:32 PM

poor ass version of girls aloud without the top songwriters and producers

also you can tell most of them are only using the band for a solo career already

beanny 02-10-2009 03:42 PM

Their new single was the worst decision. There are FAR better songs on the new album (Wordshaker, Ego, 2am, Lose Control, One Shot) that should have been released instead.

icehot69 02-10-2009 03:46 PM

i saw them at a night club a few months ago and they turned up two hours late the place was rammed and they fu cking Mimed and only did 3 songs

xDramatick 02-10-2009 06:06 PM

I love them, and their songs <3
Forever Is Over is amaaaze.

beanny 02-10-2009 06:20 PM

I do love them, just think its a wrong choice for a first single from 2nd album. Theres stronger songs on there.

Nicky. 02-10-2009 07:11 PM

I love them tbh, the new single isn't that bad, not their best, no, but it's not dire.

Looking forward to the signings, hopefully I can get to one, and the next tour! Xx

Callum 03-10-2009 12:02 PM

Yeah, it's a shame. Rochelle has become so big headed and cocky.

alc09 03-10-2009 03:16 PM

Just a **** version of Girls Aloud in terms of everything, music and looks etc (bar the ugly ginger in Girls Aloud)

Braden 03-10-2009 03:25 PM
