Olly Murs is a Recruitment Consultant from Witham in Essex. He lives with his parents at their family home. He loves football, socialising, singing and entertaining. His Mum suffers for an undiagnosed illness.

The office worker describes himself as an ordinary geezer. But Olly would be much happier as a performer and dreams of hitting the big time. Has he got what it takes to go all the way?

Back in London, where standards were still running high, the last act of the evening quintessential Essex boy Oliver Murs took his place on stage.

The base line of Stevie Wonder’s Superstition kicked in and the 25-year-old proceeded to blow the judges away with his soulful voice and smooth moves. The panel couldn’t help but bop their heads along, the girls were screaming and Simon was clearly impressed.

“I’ve gotta tell you I really, really like you. You’re very, very , very cool… This is the easiest yes I’ve ever given.”
