Can blind people see images in their dreams?

I was watching FlashForward just now and it just occured to me.

Do they see in their dreams or cant blind people dream like people who can see?

Princess 06-10-2009 10:14 PM

I say they can, they must be able to imagine something.

My lil counsins thought I would have to sleep with my glasses on to be able to see my dreams

Ross 06-10-2009 10:14 PM

I'd imagine so.

Scarlett. 06-10-2009 10:29 PM

They can see all the time I imagine, just well...not what we see, they will imagine the world different, and wont see things until they identify them

Jessica. 06-10-2009 10:51 PM

of course they can

arsenalforever 06-10-2009 11:05 PM

yep i reckon they do

MargeryFan 06-10-2009 11:50 PM

They can. I remember mikey from bb9 talking about a dream he had in the house and he said he could see people perfectly in the dream.

It has been a while hasn't it!

You didn't come on here for ages, everyone thought you had pretty much left.

Pretty soon after that I moved house and ended up stuck without the net for 3/4 weeks.

Other than that, i've been pretty well my man. How about yourself? Arsenal are doing well I see.

:joker: Liverpool constantly struggle. People were for the first time in a while prepared to take them seriously this season but once again they are struggling. Arsenal tend to do alright up until just after xmas so I think if you are consistent enough you will be fine.

Freddie going was a shock tbf. Sophie winning was a joke but expected.

Yeah but he hasn't always been blind so he knows what things look like.

*mazedsalv** 07-10-2009 07:53 AM

But if your born blind and you dont know what objects look like and what form they are? Would be much harder.

setanta 07-10-2009 07:56 AM

Yeah, I think you have to differentiate between those who were born blind and others who have become blind over time. I'm sure I heard Stevie Wonder say once that he doesn't see in his dreams.

Fom 07-10-2009 08:21 AM

I bet they do see in their dreams... just not what we see. Its just like how do deaf people think? Because I think in a voice in my head, would a deaf person do that if they don't know what a voice was?

Dr.Gonzo 09-10-2009 02:09 PM

Quite an interesting question. I suggest any blind people reading this thread should answer the damn question.

Enid 09-10-2009 02:40 PM

I remember reading something about this years ago. It depends on whether the person was blind from birth. If so, no - they can only dream of sound and touch.
