Dannii, what about the time you were caught on CCTV with a female stripper?

Do you need to change your gender references as well?

\PJ/ 10-10-2009 09:00 PM

Oh really tell us more Tom.

30stone 10-10-2009 09:01 PM

Out of order, silly bint.

Terrible it really upset him.

\PJ/ 10-10-2009 09:04 PM

What did she say i didn't see?

Mrluvaluva 10-10-2009 09:06 PM

i mentioned the stripper episode when she was giving kandy rain a hard time. Silly cow. There was no need for the gender reference comment either. It has nothing to do with the competition.

Tom4784 10-10-2009 09:08 PM

It was definately a massive Faux Pas on her part, I don't think she meant it in a nasty way but it really didn't need to be brought up.

MarkWaldorf 10-10-2009 09:09 PM

Media gossip about J+E and KR was mentioned tonight. She made a bad mistake, but there was nothing intentionally nasty with it.

Exactly. I think she was trying to say how it was a bit homophibic that they had to change the lyrics for him.

I do like Dannii but I think she was being intentionally nasty. No matter what context you put that into that kind of thing is NEVER funny. Why didn't she pull Rikki up about the gender changes? Or Joe about being camp? Thats the only ammo she had to shoot down a faultless performance (and I don't even like Danyl that much)

The difference in the media coverage was that Kandy Rain DIDN'T try to dispell rumours and J&E was to say how nice they were and didn't deserve the coverage

Billy 10-10-2009 09:35 PM

What's that got to do with it?
He's openly said he's BI, so why did he change the reference? It's a valid question. Nothing to do with Dannii outing and questioning his sexuality your post suggests.

Men singing to girls sells more than it does to other men.

*mazedsalv** 10-10-2009 09:36 PM

That was a really low blow Dannii!

Jessica. 10-10-2009 09:43 PM

this is the article dannii was talking about

It was still a valid question though. Albeit maybe not a compassionate one, but it has nothing to do with your OP, cause she wasn't outing him or anything like that.

Stacey. 10-10-2009 09:45 PM

that was so unessecary what dannii said about danyl johnson.

But it was unnecessary and she forgets what has been written about her in the papers (practically the same thing) so must know more than anyone whether out or not its still quite hurtful- and that was pretty evident in the way he was taken back after she said it. It was like she was trying to get a snide comment in

MarkWaldorf 10-10-2009 09:51 PM

Thankfully for Dannii I don't think it'll cause that much outrage. People will forget because there was nothing that horrible about what she said. With Strictly, the whole racism drama is actually quite bad.

Iceman 10-10-2009 10:02 PM

she'll apologise tomorrow, all will be forgotten......

anyway why didnt he tell her to mind her own......

Christina 10-10-2009 10:04 PM

There was no need whatsoever to mention that. Whether he's bi or not she still didn't need to say anything? I was really starting to like Danni until then.. think she was totally out of order he was so upset!

*mazedsalv** 10-10-2009 10:11 PM

People are saying it was homophobic what she said and thats nonsense! Itw asnt at all.

What I think is that she was being disrespectful to bring him up on that in the eyes of 11 million people! He said that he's Bi in NOTW, and she accused of not singing "guy" instead of "girl", it shouldnt matter! Urmm, Im sure that gay guys when they sing a song performed by a man, they say "girl" as well.... he just chose to keep the lyrics the same as well! So what if he sang "girl", he's bisexual so it still stands anyway, even if he was gay, wouldnt matter about what lyrics he said.

Also, the way Dannii said it, it seemed like it was an attack, accusing him for lying basically.

Because he changed the song! It's a valid point she made, and people are just like OMGZ NO because its about someones sexuality. He's said hes bi so why did he change the song? She probably wondered and just thought out loud, I know I wondered about it.

She wasn't out of order really, she didn't do anythign wrong.

Why wasn't Rikki pulled up for not changing the song/she applauds him for keeping it as it was (because he's admitted he's gay ;))

and if shes that bothered about it why did her very own act last year (Ruth) sing quite a few male songs without changing them?

It was uncalled for

Billy 10-10-2009 10:32 PM

Do you have a source for Rikki saying he was gay?

Artists are known when covering songs not to actually change the words, whereas Danyl changed the words unecessarily. It's not a huge deal, Danni was obviously just wondering, jeez.

Beastie 10-10-2009 10:37 PM

I thought Rikki was straight?

Maybe Dannii knows that Danyl has outed his bisexuality so that he appears to both men and women? Danyl seems like a funny character.. he is the one most desperate to win and I think he thinks he is going to win! He should stay though.. because dannii doesnt like him and I sense tension :D

get lloyd out!

Tom 10-10-2009 10:37 PM

No its just a guess, I think he is, the bit in brackets would obviously be said if she applauds him for keeping it like that bla bla ... realised how my post could be misconstrued though

and sometimes they do change them, its happened in the past and they haven't been pulled up on it, in the past they've actually changed the words to change the meaning not just substituting him for her
