Why doesn't superglue stick to the inside of the tube?

This thought just occurred to me when gluing some ornament thing back together

Is it something about when it gets exposed to air it then goes stick and hardens? lol

Ross 15-10-2009 06:55 PM

im sure it only reacts when it's exposed to the water in the air, so in the tube it's all sealed

CHemical reaction with O2, makes it solidify. Thats how it sticks. Thats why, when you dont seal it comletely, you get the tip of it to harden.

Thats why most things dont harden in tubes and packets.
