I wish Derek would stop picking his spots.. and in the pool eeeewwwww. Enough already.

And BB you don't HAVE to show it. You know we are all interested in watching Orlaith's exit but you show spot pick, pick, pick.

Are Derek & Eugene even aware that she has gone, or that she was due to leave this morning at all? I don't think they are, as I'm sure that Eugene at least would've said goodbye to her.

Sometime next week:

Derek: Orlaith? Orlaith, would you like a cup of tea, darling? Orlaith? Where is she?

Eugene: Surely she can't still be in the Diary Room?

Big Brother announced over the speaker system she was leaving the house so they must know.

They knew.

Derek's 'instruction' to Eugene was.... 'Why don't you tell her to just go, for God's sake.'

Nice.

Eugene didn't disagree or agree with him but then he didn't go and see her either.

They didn't know - they can use the speakers in separate parts of the house, as they do when there are hm's asleep at night. And they've just figured it out, with Eugene saying he'd have liked to say goodbye to her. Derek thought he heard a car driving away from the house, too.

Well all they had to do was go in and ask her. Maybe Eugene will wonder why she didn't say goodbye to him and figure out its because of his choosing of the spot picking Derek as his mate.

He's still doing it [picking], and now he says he's going to detox and eat Orlaith's fruit today. That's all she was to him, fruit :bored:

But ask her what, though? It would've been a pretty strange question to suddenly ask out of the blue. Both Derek & Eugene were in the pool when she told the others of her plans and packed her suitcase. She was pretty clear that she wasn't going to let Derek know before she left. And as Eugene is Derek's friend, that would include him, too.

But they were discussing it together before she went, they had a very good idea that she was going and they were discussing her not having unpacked from last night and so on [That's also when Derek made his comment - see above]

If they were in any doubt Eigene asking would not have been out of the blue, it would have been totally in context and appropriate.

But this thread isn't about that, its about spots!

It seems they did indeed know, Red. They've just shown a clip of Eugene & Derek in the pool, and Eugene said that they'd announced that she would be leaving in 10 minutes time (Derek was underwater at the time of the announcement). Even though I wasn't a fan of Orlaith by any means, I'm surprised that Eugene didn't go inside to say goodbye.
