He wasnt that good a singer though. Yeah he was gorgeous, but thats not enough.

Though his looks would no doubt have carried him to at least midway through the competition...lloyd style :rolleyes:

Duane should have been there instead of Rikki. Can't understand that decision from Cheryl, unless of course she was banking on the Scottish vote.

Oh, and I don't think anyone under 18 should be allowed on the show because they automatically get the teeny bopper vote, so I would have had Daniel instead of Lloyd.

Yes Duane was brilliant. He should be there instead of Rikki...or Lloyd, who i think cheryl was counting on the tweeny vote, which is working so far.

Cheryl picked the wrong three boys, she should have picked the other three

Simon should have picked Daniel and Treyc over Danyl and Jamie

Dannii should have picked Despina over Lucie

I also quite liked Sian, the one who John & Edward sung over, as well as Miss Fitz but lead singer went AWOL (them that did jazz version of Toxic)

Treyc was terrible and danyl is better than daniel.

I remember at the time people raging over joe being picked over duane and along with a couple of others, i was in a minority who thought joe was better. Turns out he is.

Danni should have picked despina over rachel, lucie is amazing talent.

You can't say Joe would be better if we never got to see Duane in a live show!

I didnt think duane was that good to be honest, joe was supposedly rubbish and he has shone.

i thought she should have gone through aswell but the weakest of the girls there for me is rachel.

Weakest of the girls is Stacey by far, while Lucie doesn't have the strength or passion that Rachel possesses. Despina was beautiful looking but ultimately her voice failed her somewhat.

Duane was great and should have been in ahead of Rikki or Lloyd.

Stacy has THE most powerful voice for me.

Lucie has the ability and the look, just naturally better singer imo.

Stacey is struggling all the time with her range. Lucie is technically excellent but doesn't have that unique sound that I look for in a singer. You hear Rachel and you instantly know who's singing.

Despina should be there instead of stacey.

Lucie is by far the best singer out of the girls, but rachel has a 'different' kind of voice. Stacey is meh.

I did like Daniel fox (the guy with the green mohecan?). Its going to be an unpopular opinion but i think he should have gone through instead of Olly. I dont get the hype about him, hes ok. But I think simon didnt put him through, because he had already had a shot at fame...and failed.

I dont really get the olly hype, i like him hes my 3rd favourite but hes not the best singer by a long way.


For me stacy has a very powerful voice, even if she does make mistakes.
Lucie has ability to control her voice very well, and power she is all round best vocalist for me.

Rachel has got that unique thing BUT she goes out of key very very often.
And the tone of her voice in general i just cant connect with..

As does stacey.

Rachels first 2 live shows were appalling, I have to admit, but i loved her audition, and bootcamp, and we KNOW she can sing. I think its just bad song choices that were killing it for her. And bad styling...shes not going to be totally comfortable in stuff she doesnt feel comfortable in...is she?

She was OK this week, but still not brilliant.

But...Rachel does have the potential to be brilliant. She has a very strong unique voice. And I think we have already seen the best of stacey, with her audition...which I dont think was up to much either.

You see I don't see it with Lucie to be honest with you. She can only sing one type of song whereas Rachel can have a crack at anything really and hasn't had an opportunity to show what she can do with a soulful or ballady type of song, where she can really have an opportunity to connect with the audience. Her performance of Paolo Nutini's song at Bootcamp illustrates that point.... it was so beautiful. I don't get that feeling when Lucie sings. She has a lovely voice but it leaves me a little cold.

Lucie can sing all sorts? EDIT: Her week 2 performance the faster more upbeat song, was scrutinised.. yet she sang exceptionally well other than a nervous start(to be expected) se was amazing., dont understand why she was slated, if you loook back at it.

Rachel is the same with me, leaves me bored and uninterested and i always hear little cracks in her voice dont like her tone in general.

Rachel has potential yes, but likeability isnt there for me just cant do it.
And i think not this week but the week before was stacys best.

Ive yet to see rachel blow me away or perform to a high standard, it always averge or bad for me.

Lucie couldn't do the up tempo song very well the weekend before last... she was all over the place but because her voice isn't as powerful as Rachel's people seemed to have missed it. Lucie's only excellent performance was this weekend because she was back in her comfort zone.

I get what you mean about rachel being average, she has been on the live shows, but i did really like her audition. Just watch, she will blow you away soon ;)

I dont think stacy has had a good week yet.

And yes, lucie seems only suited to ballad-y songs...but this week I think she was amazing. Theres not much point in having a winner who can only sing one type of song though really...even though she is exceptionally good at the tyoe of songs she does.

See like i just said in that post the up tempo song was great, very underated and look at it again, you can see she sings it well other than the obviously nervous shakey start the rest was perfect.
She can sing all sorts but seemed to be doubted as soon as everyone found out she wasnt singing a balladey type some.. everyone sort of just thought it would be poor..

And Rachel will never blow me away just not good enough.

Leona? She can sing up tempo but people never like it as much as the slower songs same with lucie.
