Why are there so many idiots around here saying that Danni was homophobic last night?! Some people are even saying that they'll ring Ofcom about it!

OFCOM? Are you kidding? So, it’s inappropriate to talk about gays on TV? Seriously, everyone who reacts badly to this is simply uncomfortable with the idea of someone being gay and having it raised. You’re embarrassed on his behalf because you think being gay is bad or embarrassing. He’s fine with it, she’s fine with it. Be fine with it.

And the comments elsewhere about it being a shame cos his students are watching – are you kidding me!? So kids can’t know that gay people exist? Gimme a break. They learn about relationships from their parents all the time. Some have gay uncles/aunts/friends of their parents, so why on earth it’s a bad thing that they know their teacher is gay/bi is beyond me. Get over yourselves.

I kind of agree with you, but she did not need to bring it up, and yes it is quite embarassing being called gay infront of 11million people.

But Danyl already outed himself in the national newspapers weeks ago.

So as a bisexual who has already outed himself, there was no need for him to change the lyric in the song. He should have kept it the same.

Noone said she was homophobic, it was innapropriate and uneccesary to bring someones sexuality up in a singing competitition.

She was trying to be too clever, that's all..................shame, because she was starting to 'grow' on people. Still, the girls are still in there for her.......

I think she had a valid point, why did he change the lyrics? He said he wasn't ashamed of his sexuality yet he is obviously changing it for a reason. It was a valid question, and a bit of controversy.
