Whats up with Liverpool?

They've gone from nearly winning the title to looing like a Very bad Side

Torres and gerrard are class but thats it

they buy a player for £17million who's missed three months of the season

The manager has bought a lot of average players and he takes off two of liverpool's best players at fulham which they go on to lose.

they are about to Go out of the Champions league and are out of the league Title unless Their Rivals mess up.

what has gone wrong?

Everything..the board, the manager, the players, injury

but in all of this, Rafa is NOT to blame

Rafa is to blame he took off his best players instead of winning the game first
Liverpool fans want the Premiership
but he wants teh champions league more

Rafa is partially responsible for the team he's put together, and don't forget that Gerrard was leaving at one stage - Benitez didn't even want him on the team and he kept the idiot in a job afterwards by winning the Champions League for him. He should have been sacked ages ago.

His buys have been bad apart from Torres
he wanted to sell Alonso two season's back and that's why he left the season after.

He puts average players like Lucas and Babel in the squad

Seen all this before, Liverpool will be back. :)

New investment will inject some greatness.

you need a overhaul of players in that squad

andyman 31-10-2009 09:58 PM

Nah not really, 2 or 3 players will do the job.

30stone 31-10-2009 10:23 PM

Liverpool are all about mainly 2 players..

2 very good world class players.
Then you have some very very good players like Bennayoun Reina Carragher and Aqulani.
Then it kinda stops. Everyone else is average.

They have a problem with injuries but they only have 4 injuries..
Arsenal birmingham and everton all currently have 10 injuries and Arsenal and evertons form is better based on last 6 i think.

They spent the most money other than man city. Glen johnson, great player, but 18million? Aquilani 20m and hes injured up until now.. and a old greek international who just isnt up to standard. They didnt really lose players.

Their manager is arrogant, and makes loads of mistakes. Brings in the wrong players, plays zonal marking and makes subs at silly times.

American owners are trying to make money from the club.

Champions league means they will make less money, as every group game you win you get a little. they look likely to go out of it if they cant turn this bad form around which would be terrible for them.

They are in a bad position in the league, not an impossible position but it looks unlikely that they have a good chance of winning.

And they are already out of the carling cup.

This season will not be good. Man city may get their chance to play in champions league next season..

Funny though i said how liverpool would more likely finish 4th than arsenal and that they lack in defence.
No one agree'd really..

setanta 31-10-2009 10:25 PM

I said they'd struggle to stay in top four at beginning of season.

andyman 31-10-2009 10:40 PM

Liverpool will be fine, 4th place at least.

30stone 31-10-2009 10:45 PM

4th place maybe.
but city looking good as are the other 3 of the top 4.

andyman 31-10-2009 10:49 PM

Man City will fk up after Jan, then Liverpool will make up for the poor start.

4th place will do as it will give us a foot in the Champions League next season.

King Gizzard 31-10-2009 10:59 PM

Its funny, cause if manure and chelsea lose and liverpool win next time round, they ll be back in the race again  never rule anything out

Exactly what happened to us last year.
as year before we were 2 points off second and 4 points off the league.

Dolphin-and-Whale 16-11-2009 03:27 PM

We'll be back. We're better than City and even with our depleted squad, we'll beat them on Saturday.
