It was right for Rachel to go

Out of the bottom 2. Yes, I suppose she can sing better than Llyod. But Lloyd could barely speak, the poor guy. Also it was her 3rd time in bottom 3 - at this stage, if the judges had saved her - she wasn't gonna make it much further anyway. Where as I think Lloyd can go further.

I think it was definitly right - in this situation - for Simon to bring it to deadlock.

Saying that - I think overall it should have been Danyl & Jamie in the bottom 2.

MrGaryy 01-11-2009 09:55 PM

He can barely sing when he's in perfect health.

I think what with her new look and attitude, had Rachel been given another chance, she could have gone much further. Where as regardless of how far Lloyd goes, the boy has zero artist potential, he'll never sell records.

His voice is crap

Arneldo 01-11-2009 09:59 PM

I do think Rachel was the better singer, and when it comes down to ti - I prefer her to Lloyd. But it was her 3rd time in the bottom 2 - it was her time to go.

setanta 01-11-2009 10:09 PM

Ok, but how many times was Ruth in the bottom two and they kept her in based on her performances? It's a load of crap if you tell me, with Simon changing tactics every single vote off. And Lloyd wont win, just like Eoghan Quigg didn't win. Eoghan obviously went on to huge things lol.

This! She wasn't gonna survive any longer.

You're right.
She was really talented though.
And seemed to be such a lovely girl.
All the best to her though.
Hoping she has a succesful career :)

Marc 01-11-2009 11:32 PM

I don't see how anyone can comprehend her departure.. when Lloyd is so bad

BB_Eye 01-11-2009 11:55 PM

It was clearly a cynical bid to slap viewers on the hand for not picking up the phone to vote. Nothing more or less than that. Lloyd's illness excuse doesn't account for doing consistently poor every week.

Z 02-11-2009 12:02 AM

I'm in two minds over it. On the one hand, I believe the bottom two should be judged on the sing off performances; other factors such as 'have they been in the bottom two before?' shouldn't come into it; the competition is meant to be a singing competition and you should be aiming to save the better singer every time.

On the other hand, what if Rachel was in the bottom two every week yet was being saved each time just because she nailed the bottom two performance? It would be just the same as the outcry against John and Edward going through each week despite being atrocious singers.

To be honest, lloyd didnt sound any different with his 'illness' except his voice cut out like twice...the rest of the song was abysmal...like always.

1. Lloyd would sell more Records than Rachel anyday :joker:

2. Wth do you mean "with her new look and attitude" its not about that its about the singing and plus her **** impression of Stacey is what made her more hated by the Public!

CaraRawr 02-11-2009 06:07 AM

I agree.

Sticks 02-11-2009 07:01 AM

I've not been following X-Factor due to other things, and only saw this discussion in that free sheet the Metro

Doe this ejection mean she goes back to the day job, or stacking shelves at Lidal or Aldi and never sings again?

Stacey. 02-11-2009 07:11 AM

yes, definitely,, rachel was the only one that was right to leave! :D

1. Lloyd will sell as many records as Eoghan. lol

2. Rachel was always an excitable young girl - you only have to look at her progress through the auditions to see that she's a bubbly character who loses it occassionally. And singing wise, she's in a different league to them all. She was out on her own this weekend.

xDramatick 02-11-2009 08:56 AM

I totally agree, she deserved to go.

Dr.Gonzo 02-11-2009 09:49 AM

Bag of ****. I don't think I've ever heard a voice quite so dull as Lloyd's. Mmmm nap time.

Twilight 02-11-2009 10:10 AM

Yeah she wasn't liked by many people that why she gone end of.

alc09 02-11-2009 10:20 AM

Any one see the bollocks she was on about on the Xtra Factor, she acually thinks she can go onto be similar to JLS since they left the show, I guarantee we will never see her again.

Adamw92 02-11-2009 02:38 PM

What does it matter if it was her third time in the bottom two? Rachel can sing better than Lloyd when he is ill and when he's not and its meant to be a singing competition

..no it's not.
singing is just part of it.
they're looking for the 'x-factor', and as the public couldn't warm to her, Rachel clearly didn't have it.
