Should the Judges lose their power to vote?

Would it be much fairer if went to 'Dead Lock' all the time?

2 Judges always save their own act anyway..

So what do you think?
Should the Public vote for who goes?

MattBlake 02-11-2009 08:55 PM

well Simon.
not the other three, cause they're fair and honest :)

Stacey. 02-11-2009 08:56 PM

yes, then john and edward might survive longer!!! xxx

How is Simon not fair?
He took it to the Public vote which is very fair.

Tom4784 02-11-2009 09:04 PM

I dunno, I think it adds quite an exciting edge to the show really. The whole Singoff and stuff is very entertaining.

setanta 02-11-2009 09:05 PM

Of course it should go to the judges because that should lesson the possibility of a real talent exiting the competition but it's apparent that they've abandoned that important feature altogether.

For the love of God will you get.over.it.

Simon made the fairest choice and that's it.

Arneldo 02-11-2009 09:16 PM

No. It is what maked TXF different from shows like Pop Idol etc.

Of course he didn't. He's often stated that it's about singing talent and that the sing off is where you have to prove your worth. And don't forget also that he's been saying all along that Lloyd has only survived because of his looks.

Z 02-11-2009 09:17 PM

Get rid of it. It only really worked when there were 3 judges; because the sing off essentially boiled down to impressing the judge who didn't have an act in the bottom two (unless it was two acts from the same category); deadlock makes the judges' vote and the singoff pointless.

sweety_samy9 02-11-2009 09:18 PM

yes, if it's about danni, louis and cheryl.
what simon did to rachel was awful.
aww i still feel so bad for her <3
bless x

Firewire 02-11-2009 09:21 PM

No.

That's what makes it The X Factor.

and of course Simon is fair.

King Gizzard 02-11-2009 09:22 PM

Yes, straight to public vote!

Omg

Rachel fans need to get this into their heads..

Simon didnt go anything bad to her, HE LIKED HER He sent it to DeadLock which is fair!
Just get over the fact the public didnt like Rachel!

Stop blaiming Simon.

And I kept laughing at that part "What Simon did to rachel was awful"
He didnt Shoot her ffs, it has to happen to everyone at some point and Rachel should of been gone long ago.

Jords 02-11-2009 09:26 PM

No, it gives the show some extra spice.

I agree. Without the judges there, as a safety net, to protect the real talent - then we might as well just hand the show over to the youngsters who wouldn't know talent if it sat up and bit them.

SiaSiaSia 02-11-2009 09:35 PM

i think the judges who mentor the acts shouldn't have the chance to vote unless both their acts are in the bottom two tee bee haitch

This^^^^

I would like that part of the show if they stuck to the rules and judged them on their performances like they're supposed to do. If they're going to decide not to do this whenever it suits them then it's unfair and rule should just be done away with and let the public decide all the time!!

Do you think he would have put it to deadlock if John and Edward were up against Rachel? It's a joke of a show now.

Of course not!

Fom 03-11-2009 10:02 AM

No I like the judges voting, the public get it so wrong sometimes... it is good to give people that second chance.

Tom 03-11-2009 10:14 AM

No, I think the whole mentor thing should be scrapped so its impartial, I think the mentor thing has lost its novelty now
