Should mentoring be scrapped?

It could give a fairer decision in the bottom 2 and fairer judging after performances if it goes, but on the flip side it is what makes the show unique. Or could the judges collectively mentor the acts?

No Mentoring, No Judges Houses and thats great :(

But I do hate how the mentors always take the singers side even if they`re ****.

Once, Just Once I would love if a Judge voted their own act off in the Sing Off lol But that would never ever happen :(

I would like it go next year just to see if its better without it..

No, I like it... it is what separated X Factor from every other talent show... I quite enjoy all the bickering.

Simon voted off his own act in one of the earlier series.

No, its a big element to the show!

The judges are a lot less biased than a lot of the voters ie the youngsters only like the youngsters. Anyone over the age of 25 has no chance.

All 3 over 25s are still in, plenty of chance for one of them to win.

For some reason I think 'Nikitta' but I could be wrong... he said it was because the other person in the bottom 2 really had a chance in a future and he thought it wasn't fair to put his own act first... in front of a chance of a successful artist.

Because the older viewers are voting for them - and they recognise their talent!

He had Ray in the bottom 2 that week and Sharon and Louis voted so Simon had the casting vote

He sent The Conway Sisters home in series 2, forgot who they were in the bottom 2 with though

That is why - the youngsters cannot be allowed to hijack the programme. It will be ruined.
