Its clear Simon hasnt liked Lucie since the first live show!!

Thats why.... what an idiot!!!

He has had a problem with Lucie ever since the first live show when she sang his precious girls Leona's song, and has slated her ever since.

He said "Sorry about last week, this time i will judge it based on the sing off only.... scratch the last few weeks"

Hmm didnt go to plan then did it? Hypocrite!!
That woman was right, he wants to get rid of people that are a threat to his boys... satisfaction if its Jamie VS Danyl next week.

Spot on there. He only did what he did because he knew Lucie was a threat to his acts; nonsense about "forgetting the past" and "basing the decision on the survival performance."

Isn't The X Factor supposed to be a "competition"? A show where TALENTED acts (cough)not John & Edward(cough) compete with each other until the best singer is remaining at the end of the show? Whatever happened to that?

Stacey. 08-11-2009 09:17 PM

no, he did it for the show... which was very much the right thing to do!

Vicky. 08-11-2009 09:36 PM

He got rid of her because she was a stronger competitor than the twits. Thats all.

Idiot that he is. So desperate for olly/danyl to win.

Novo 08-11-2009 09:37 PM

He did it for the greater good

Yes, if olly is in the bottom two next week with the twits...and the same thing happens...I trust you will see it the same way

No. The only reason Lucie went is because its the twins who are making the publicity for the show. I do agree with Simon, neither act is going to win so may as well keep the act who is going to be better for the shows ratings and publicity.

The only 'idiots' I see are all those blaming Simon,he was right to put it to deadlock,so blame Joe Public for letting Lucie down.

Marc 09-11-2009 07:33 AM

She wasn't going to win... neither will the twins. No biggie

WOMBAI 09-11-2009 07:40 AM

Yes - the ultimate responsiblity for Lucy going lies with the public for not voting for her. But the whole idea of the sing-off was to act as a 'safety net' to protect the more talented singers - as the public have somewhat of a reputation for voting with their feet. Previously - Simon could always be relied upon - to save the talent - regardless of whether they were competion for him. Unfortunately - that no longer seems to be the case. Which really makes the whole sing-off thing redundant.

In previous series - deadlock was rarely used - now it is being used every week. Definitely about audiences and ratings.

Well now she can go and get a proper job and forget about being a singer - I assume that is wehat happens as I do not follow this telentless show.

True talent makes it's way through the clubs and does it the hard way rather than be manufactured for ratings.

Although some truth to that - I think the likes of Leona prove that is not always the case.

As most people have said, she was never going to win, nor were Rachel, Miss Frank, Rikki etc....

He just got rid of her as she wasn't a huge loss to the show. She was clearly a better singer as was Rachel, but neither were male with blond hair and blue eyes.

Personally I think simon knows that John and Edward are boosting his ratings by a lot. I personally think that in terms of vocal ability Lucie was the best singer this series by a long shot and Simon knows that with the right song Lucie could be amazing and turn everyones votes to her, a bit like Alexandra with Listen.

Adamw92 09-11-2009 11:44 AM

Simon was just pathetic last night...if he ever complains and says "its supposed to be about singing!" I will throw my TV out the window, I'm praying that he loses an act next week and then he won't be so smug

Beastie 09-11-2009 11:45 AM

Simon likes originality.. not the same old boring thing!

And how do Jedward fit that? they've done the exact same thing every week! singing (disgracefully) while dancing when they blaintly can't with big productions which outshine them

robb 09-11-2009 01:58 PM

It's clear that Cowell wants an all-boys final. He never did like Lucie, that's correct. He has slaughterd the girls since the first show (save for a few 'sops' here and there). But it's clear about why he chose Jedward (or 'deadwood' now, as far as winning the show is concerned anyway); R.A.T.I.N.G.S.

You are joking of course - they are about as original as Louis's jokes! Such an 'act' can be seen on every school stage in the country - minus all the special effects!
