Who's applying for uni this year?

Just thought it'd be interesting to see :)

Here's mine:

Predicted A2s: AAA (french, german and history) A (spanish GCSE)

French and German at
University of Bath: typical offer ABB
University of Sussex: typical offer BBB
University of Sheffield: typical offer BBB
University of Nottingham: typical offer ABB

French, German and Spanish at
University of Southampton: typical offer AAB

feeling pretty screwed atm! keep checking my emails/track/ucas and there's NOTHING

Writing your personal statement is the most boring, time consuming thing ever. I'm in 1st year at Glasgow, I absolutely love it, choose a big city and go into halls that are famed for ace parties (well, all halls have ace parties) - you won't regret it, unless you're a sleep freak :P.

Hahahah I'd like a mixture of nightlife and education :D

Southampton - good nightlife, really good uni (won't get in :( )
Bath - alright nightlife, really good uni (won't get in :( )
Sheffield - good nightlife, good uni
Sussex - amazing nightlife [it IS brighton], alright uni
Nottingham - good nightlife, good uni :)

tried to avoid london because of the expense! was applying manchester and leeds but changed both last minute

My personal statement was crap and got in, but then again I only needed 220-260 points to get in when I had 410 (3 A's plus a B at As)

Because
1) My GCSE grades aren't brilliant
2) My AS grades aren't brilliant
3) There's about 5-8 people to 1 place at a few of my unis for my course
4) I'm predicted no A*s
5) I'm only doing 3A2s and have a D at AS

i could continue...

Enid 11-11-2009 08:37 PM

Everyone should apply at Sheffield uni. ;)

Captain.Remy 11-11-2009 08:38 PM

I have to think of another place for my third year next year (yeah the French system is absolutely crap) so either I'll go to Paris or I'llstay near Marseilles but whatever I chose, I must apply for a new Uni which is going to SUCK because I hate doing this, it takes so much time, they require so much paper.

Basically what people do is that they do 2 years in one Uni and continue (if they want to) to another because sometimes the Uni you are in doesn't have the lectures you need to earn the diploma you want therefore, I either leave to Paris in the Highest School of Transports, Logistics and Economics or I stay around Marseilles, in another Uni to continue a third year, but it won't be the same.
