Never listened to his solo stuff, but The Verve. :lovedup:

As good really. Some of his solo stuff is amazing.

Solo stuff is surprisingly good. Much of it is better than the verve.

i wouldn't put his solo stuff up agaisn't the Verve cause it sadly Lacks but his solo stuff is under rated though

Love his solo stuff. I remember I managed to use Richard Ashcroft for my English Literature GCSE... we were told to write an article, so I wrote it on him and I got an A*, so thank you Richard!

I think The Verve make a lot better albums indeed, songs that you don't have to skip. But when Richard comes out with a good one himself, it is ussally up there with The Verve.

i think some songs on his solo albums are great
but they lack the power and greatnes of the verve

Yeah he does need the band as well. It's just a shame they can't stand eachother lol

Ahhh yeah, quite like that.

Not a fan Mr. Ashcroft, he's more a part of the Oasis/Ocean Colour Scene school of Britpop (earnest, sentimental) than the Pulp/Blur school (ironic, humourous). I lean strongly towards the latter.

He's talented though.

The Verve are alot better than Pulp or Blur.

i love Blur but the Verve had the swagger really didn't they:dance:

no way Ashcroft was a poet witha lot of depth
Nick mccabe was a very under rated guitarist

Yep, when it comes to cool, Ashcroft has got it.
